Footsteps running down the hallPanicking, she ran to the front door, staring at freedom right in the eyes. Just a few more steps, that's all she needed. She held out her hand to grab the doorknob, what seemed like forever in her eyes was just a millisecond away. A shooting pain seared once more all over her body, but she was determined to escape this hell hole. She twisted the knob and pulled the door, the greyness of the clouds mixed with the sunlight led to a dark gloomy shade in her eyes, mother nature blew her winter's breath across her body, slightly brushing the leaves into the air. The lake was still and reflected the soullessness of the sky. It had been 150 days since she last set her eyes on the outside world. She looked back and heard heavy boots approaching her, the fear that grew in her eyes was a mixture of pain and hurt. She ran towards the lake, hoping someone would be there to help her. But that hope was short-lived. She could feel her body giving up on her, life was slowly leaving her body step by step, breath by breath.
As she approached the shore of the lake, she felt a pressure in the back of her head, she then fell to the ground. Immediately she was paralyzed from the waist down. She felt her tears rolling off her face, seeping into the ground that would eventually flow into the lake. The same boots appeared in front of her which pushed her onto her back. "They say when you are about to die you could feel your body losing life, the coldness starts from the toes and then makes its way up to the legs, and parted ways to the fingers and arms, coming in for the kill it approaches the chest slowly as if it was playing a mind game on how long one would fight the feeling," she thought to herself. The killer left and came back with a body bag filled with rocks, she felt her body being carefully placed into the bag, physically she wanted to fight back, but mentally, the killer made sure she couldn't.
As the bag was being closed, signifying her fate, she held onto the killer's jacket, "You don't have to do this" She pleaded with him for her life, but the killer ignored her. The killer then closed the bag and pulled it into the lake. Her screams echoed in the area causing the birds to fly away from the trees surrounding the lake. The lake took its time, consuming the bag and when the water level was at her neck, she then accepted her fate. She closed her eyes and pictured her father, a small smile crept onto her lips as life finally left her body before the water entered. The lake consumed her body and soul as the bag sank to the bottom.
6 weeks later
"Brad come on let's jump in" Mariah begged as she removed her clothes. He didn't hesitate, he immediately removed his clothes and jumped into the lake. He resurfaced and let out a scream, "This is so amazing wooo-hoooo" He held his breath once more and went under.
That Lake was known for being pitch black but Brad couldn't help but notice a strange light approaching him. "Brad the gang is about to leave get out man" Baker shouted. Brad who was too far under he couldn't hear them and that led him to be curious and swam to the light, suddenly, a figure appeared with long ginger hair, he then reached out and pulled the hair, the reveal left his mouth wide up and terrified, causing him to choke and gasp for air, he had to resurface and let out yet another scream, "Yeah, yeah we know, this is amazing woohoo" Mariah replied while laughing, "IT'S A BODY, IT'S A FUCKING BODY" he shouted, this made everyone confused. "Bullshit stop messing around nerd" Baker replied with anger thinking it was another one of Brad's pranks, but the minute Brad came out of the water a body was seen floating on top of the water. Mariah was screaming for her life as she held onto Brad. "Call 911" Baker shouted.____________________________________________________________________________
