AOT was created by Hajime Isayama & was first published in 2009.
Hajime once said that he had planned to end the manga in such a dramatic way, that all the main characters died! But thanks to the viewers making the anime so popular, he has decided to end it differently.
It has been said that the manga will end in 2-3 yrs.
The idea for the Titans was created when Hajime was serving a drunk customer at a café, and admired the way in which he couldn't interact with other humans or walk correctly. That's when he realized that the scariest thing on the planet is a human.
Hanji's gender is unknown. In the manga, Hanji can be seen as both male and female, while just female in the anime. Hajime even said it was up to us to determine Hanji's gender.
The actual title is 'Advancing Giants'. The title for the anime was created by the author.
AOT is getting two live action films!!!
Armin was actually an orphan with a terrible childhood, according to her back story in the manga.
Isayama was asked at an interview which girl Mikasa most got along with in Trainee Squad 104, and he said "Armin".
Season 2 comes out next year, as of right now, there's a prequel to season 1, and it's about how Levi made his way into the Survey Corps.
