"When we get to the hotel, we'll only have a couple hours before the dinner starts. Just enough to shower and get ready to go." Seokjin explains over the phone.
"Uh-huh." Genesis replies as she applies a layer of lip gloss. She holds her compact mirror in her hand as she does so.
"Just make your presence known. Let them know that you're there, alive and well."
"Right." Genesis agrees. "And then I'll have a nice conversation with the people in the room about how rude they are."
"Rude?" Taehyung questions as he drives.
"Yes, rude." She doubles down. "How dare they celebrate a death without the guest of honor? Who does that?"
Taehyung and Jungkook look at one another before looking out of the front window. They can think of nothing to say in response to her.
"Let's just make an entrance and let that be that for now, yes?" Seokjin says. "We will have plenty of time to show up for ourselves during the games. I'm sure your presence tonight will stir things up enough as it is. Check in, bathe, get dressed and we'll be on our way. Understood?"
"Yes sir." The three of them chorus. They snicker together and the eldest man rolls his eyes as he hangs the phone up.
"They are not going to do as I said, are they?" Seokjin asks Namjoon and Hoseok.
"No." They say together.
"Not even close." Namjoon adds as he stares off into space, watching the timeline ahead of him.
"Not in any timeline." Hoseok says as his eyes glow.
Seokjin sighs and sits back against the seat. "Of course not."
"But you knew that." Hoseok tells him.
"Mm. I did." He confirms. "They'll keep one another in line though. I have my own matters to tend to. We all do. Avery and Valerie will be in your rooms to help you get ready for dinner. I expect everyone down at 5:45, no later."
"I'm never late for anything." Namjoon states.
"No, Namjoon, you aren't." Seokjin says as he straightens his seat belt. "You're always right on time."

Hoseok stands in front of the mirror, staring at himself as Avery moves around the room. She mumbles to herself, seeming to be in deep thought.
Though he can't quite pinpoint why. But then again, he's never been able to read her very well. They've never been in the same room long enough, or at all.
