Chapter 6

"1, 2, 3..." we count together and when we have chosen sides I loose so I'm gonna get grilled.

"Ok, Ed! I'm gonna ask first." says Lance. " What is your favorite color?" he asks.

"Tss! That's your question?" I snorts.

"Yeah!" he said in that 'duh!' kind of tone.

"I've already answered that on your slam book like 10 times." I muttered.

"Yes but you have 10 different answers too so which is it? And I want an honest answer." he demanded. This guy just doesn't know when to give up.

"It changes depending on my mood and today it's red because I'm feeling a little murderous at the moment." I scoffed but he just shrugged the threat off and smirk at me. Have I mentioned that I want to kill him whenever he does that? Yeah, probably many times huh? But let me just mention it again. I want to kill him whenever he does that.

"Ok, mine is. What is your favorite song for today?" gramps asks.

"Favorite song for today?" Lance ask in confusion.

"Yeah! Because just like her favorite color it also changes base on what she feels." Gramps answered him.

"Today it would be... Man Down by Rihanna." I answered while giving Lance a murderous glare.

Just as we we're about to start another round gramps was called by an employee saying that he has an important call for him.

"Well that's a bummer we've barely started." He whines. " But carry on kids and I'll try to be back." he said and then lean in to Lance and whispered "Take care of my little tiger will you. Just a little advice my boy... 'the time to strike is when you see it'." he then patted Lance's shoulder and turn to the stairs.

"Why do I feel like I'm being sold?" I muttered.

Gramps just chuckled and threw as a very mischievous enjoy over his shoulder. Lance was grinning from ear to ear when I look up. When he saw me staring he threw me a very smug smile which I just flipped. We're alone again which reminds me of my unanswered question before.

"Why do you live here?" I blurt out bluntly. I've been meaning to ask that when I learned that he lives here but haven't find the right moment.

"Woah there we didn't even get to the new mechanics since there's only two of us here. Why do you ask?" He asks back.

"Answer mine and I'll answer yours." I stated simply.

"Oh is that the new mechanic then?" he asks again.

"Just answer the question." I snapped.

"Jeez, alright-alright! Because I got no where to go." he muttered.

"Why?" I fired again.

"Wait I didn't even had a chance to get an answer from you yet." he said.

"Just curious." I answered not waiting for him to even start what he's about to say.

"Huh?" he asks. Confusion is clearly etch on his face.

"You ask why did I ask right? Well that's my answer." I answered.
