Cody's pov:I stare into the new school I've transferred to. I recently moved to this small town in California, I hope it's nothing I can't handle. I didn't really have anyone to talk to in the other state I was in. So, I hope I can make some friends here.
I walk into the school and looked around. There's a lot of students sure, but I see someone familiar. I brush it off and try to find the office. I don't know where to go, I don't know anyone.. What am I gonna do?! I guess I gotta ask somebody.
"Um, hi. Do you know where the office is?" I ask some random girl by the lockers. "Ew, no." The girl scoffed and walked away with some other girls. Rude. I'm about to start freaking out, I can't find anything in this big ass school!
"Um, hey. It looks like you're having trouble are you new here?" I felt tapping on my shoulder. "Oh! I mean, yeah. I am." I jumped and turned around. "Wait... You look familiar." The girl with black and teal dyed hair looked at me weirdly. "You do too." I responded. "Wait— Oh my god! Cody! I haven't seen you since middle school!" She hugged me.
"Wait a minute— Gwen?" I said looking at her shockingly. "Yeah man!" She said getting off of me. "Since when did you dye your hair?" I asked. "Like freshman year. You like?" She smiled. "Yeah, it looks badass." I smiled back. "Thanks! Anyways, what have you been up to?" She asked me.
"Uhh, I'm trying to find the office here. Just to get everything I need." I replied. "Oh, why didn't you say so? Come on, I know where it is." Gwen said signing me to follow her. Finally, a childhood friend. Someone I can talk to.
Somehow, the office is far from the main entrance. How does that make sense? This school is confusing to me. "Here it is. Want me to wait for you?" Gwen asked me. "Yeah, I would like that." I smiled at her. I walked into the office and went to the desk. "Hello, I'm new here and I need my schedule." I said.
The front desk lady just raised her eyebrow at me, "Name?" She asked nonchalantly. "Oh Cody." I smiled at her. "Full. Name." She said blankly. I sighed and just went through with it. "Cody Emmett Jameson Anderson." I sighed.
Her eyes widened and typed on the computer. She then printed out a sheet and handed it to me. "Here." She said as she was giving the paper to me. "Thank you." I said to her while leaving. "So? What's your schedule?" Gwen asked me. "Here, you look at it." I said giving the paper to her.
"We have 3rd and 5th period together! Math and physics." She said. "Physics?! Are you serious?" I groaned. "It's gonna get better. Just don't worry." She said. Just as she said that the bell rung. That means we have to go to class. Ughhhh.
"Well, bye Gwen!" I said walking somewhere. "Bye!" She said running to class. I just realized I have no idea where I'm going. Damn it, I should've asked Gwen. I searched around for my class, surely English has to be here somewhere.
I walked upstairs and went down the hall. It has to be here. "Really? Skipping on the first day?" I heard a voice say behind me. "Oh, no I'm not! I swear." I said turning around to see a boy with a red tracksuit on. "Wait up Tyler! I haven't put on my lipgloss yet." I heard a girly voice say behind him.
"Who is this?" She asked. "I don't know babe, who are you?" The boy asked me. "Look, I don't want any trouble. I'm Cody, and I'm just trying to find my English class." I sighed. "Don't we have that class right now?" The girl asked. "Yeah, just follow us, Cody." The boy smiled at me. "Really?" I said surprised. "Yeah, come on Brody!" The girl said. "It's Cody." I said. "That's what I said." She said with a 'duh' face.
"Uhhhh, okay.. What's your name?" I asked the boy. "The names Tyler, and this is my girlfriend Lindsay." He responded. "Oh okay." I said. "Here, let's go in." Tyler said opening the door for both me and Lindsay. "You're late!" The teacher said. "My bad." Tyler said sitting down at a desk. "What are you doing standing up? Sit down!" The teacher yelled at me and Lindsay.
