The Spirit of Earth

Luke's POV

I flew through the forest, making spring flowers grow all around. I just love making spring arrive. It is such a beautiful season. I adjusted my flower crown and flew out of the forest and into the sky. I made a ball of pink light appear in my hands and continued to make the light grow bigger until it was about the size of a small car. I threw it up into the air and watched as it exploded and made pink sparks spread across the entire city.

Using the wind, I made the sparks travel quicker around the city. Once that was done, I flew into the forest and back to the river. I looked around until my eyes landed on the one person I was looking for.

"Hey, fish boy" I said, kneeling beside the water. Ashton came above water and glared at me.

"I'm not just a fish Luke and you know that" He said while pouting. Ashton was right. He is what we call a Keiabi. A Keiabi is the mixture between a Mermaid, Fairy, Shifter, and an Elf.

"I know Ash, I was only joking" I said with a laugh. He grumbled and got out of the water, his fin instantly turning into legs.

"So, did you finish bringing spring?" Ashton asked as we made our way to my tree.

"For today. I have to go out again tomorrow and do some more work on spring" I said. When we got to my tree, I flew to the top of the tree and started looking over the forest. I instantly saw a boy with bright red hair walking around the forest.

"Hey Ashton, a human has entered the forest. I am going to see who he is. Stay here" I said before quickly flying toward the boy. I quietly landed in one of the trees and  I started to watch the boy.

"Stupid jerks. Why can't they just leave me alone? It's not my fault my dad is set on catching Mysticals" He said to himself. His dad wants to catch mysticals?

I felt the tree branch I was on break and I ended up falling out of the tree. I quickly flapped my wings and stayed in the air. I looked at the boy and saw him staring at me in shock. I landed in front of him and gave a small smile.

"Um... Hi" I said.

"Y-You have w-w-wings" He said, pointing at my wings. I nodded my head, making my flower crown fall off. He quickly picked it up and handed it back to me.

"Thank you" I said, causing him to blush.

"Y-You're w-w-welcome" He stuttered. Before I could say anything else, I heard the sound of people running toward us. I quickly flew into the air and hid in a stronger tree. I saw three guys stop by the boy.

"Are you here looking for some pixies for daddy?" One of them asked mockingly.

"Leave me alone Andy" The red-haired boy said.

"Did you just tell me what to do, freak?" The guy, Andy, asked angrily. The boy backed away and Andy smirked.

Andy pushed the boy to the ground and started kicking him in the side. One of his friends kicked him in the head and I saw his eyes close. I quickly made a wind knock the three bullies off their feet.

"What was that?" Andy asked. I flew out of the tree and landed in front of them.

"That was me" I stated. They all stared at me in shock and fear.

"W-what are you?" One of the other guys asked.

"What I am is none of your concern. You just hurt someone in my forest" I stated, making vines wrap around their ankles. They noticed the vines and started screaming.

"We're sorry. Please don't kill us" One of them begged. I made the vines disappear and looked at them in confusion.

"Do you think I'm some kind of monster? I don't kill people, but I suggest you three leave the forest right now." I said, "And don't tell anyone about me."

All three of them nodded and quickly ran out of the forest. As soon as they were gone, I picked up the red-haired boy and flew toward my tree. When I got to the tree, I put the boy down in the tree and knelt beside him.

Ashton flew up and instantly knew what he had to do. He placed his hands on the boy's chest and closed his eyes. His hands instantly started glowing a bright baby blue color. Five seconds later, the boy's eyes flew open.

"Are you okay?" I asked. He looked at me and then Ashton before slowly nodding his head.

"W-who are y-y-you guys?" He asked, sitting up.

"I am Luke and this is Ashton" I introduced.

"I'm Michael. Where am I?" He said.

"You are in my tree" I informed him.

"What are you guys?" He asked, looking at both of us. Ashton and I looked at each other and nodded.

"If we tell you what we are, you have to promise not to tell anyone" Ashton said.

"Okay, I promise that I won't tell anyone" He said.

"I'm a Keiabi"  Ashton said.

"What's a Keiabi ?" Michael asked, confused.

"The mixture between a Mermaid, Fairy, Shifter, and an Elf" Ashton Explained.

"That's so cool" Michael said. He then looks at me expectantly.

"I'm the spirit of Earth" I said, causing him to stare at me in shock.

"E-Earth's Spirit. Like change seasons, cause natural disasters. That Earth spirit" He said, still shocked. I nodded my head, not really seeing the problem.

"Is something wrong with that?" Ashton asked.

"You are in big trouble" Michael said, freaking out.

"How am I in trouble?" I asked worriedly.

"My father is a Mystical hunter. You are his main target" Michael explained.

"I'm the main target of a hunter?" I questioned. Michael just nodded his head.

"What does your father do to any Mystical he finds?" Ashton asked, seeing as I was too scared and worried to say anything.

"Locks them in the basement, in cages or jars. He already has a unicorn, Pegasus, Dragon, and a Water princess. He will catch any Mystical he sees, but he mainly wants you" Michael said.

Ashton and I gave Michael a stern look.

"Don't worry. I don't like the fact that he is hunting Mysticals. I promise you that I won't tell my father about you guys."

I got a feeling that our lives just got a lot more dangerous.

A/N- Hello everyone. This is the first chapter of my new story. I have no Idea what gave me this idea. All I know is that I enjoyed writing this chapter and will probably enjoy writing the rest of this story. I hope you guys like this story as much as I do. Love ya
