Ayaka Pov:

I woke up in my room earlier than usual, staring at my ceiling just thinking about what happened a couple of days ago. Seeing Aether with that girl really upset me. Since it was dark, it was hard for me to remember exactly what she looked like. The only thing I could remember about her appearance was her short blonde hair. I was going to ask Aether about her, but I feel as if that may weird him out.

"What should I do...?"

There was no one around me to hear these words, but I still felt the need to ask them. I lifted my right arm over my head before placing it over my eyes and letting out a deep sigh. I knew if I stayed like this for too long, I'd fall back asleep, so instead I sat up and shifted my body so that my feet were able to touch the ground. It was soft and fluffy, I guess my brother placed a new carpet here after I went to sleep last night. He's so thoughtful. My eyes widened once my brother came to my mind. Why not just ask him?

My older brother, Kamisato Ayato is the highest power in the Kamisato clan and has been working as clan head since I was a little girl. Despite not being that much older than me, he's been raising me in place of the mother we lost some time ago. He's strong, respectable, kind, hardworking, dependable, and very precious to me. I couldn't imagine living a life without him.

Since it was early, I made my way to my brother's room without caring to change out of my pajamas. Once I arrived, I knocked on the door quietly hoping that he'd already be awake.

"Is someone there?" Said a faint voice inside the room.

So he is awake after all. That's good.

"It's me, brother, Ayaka," I replied

There was a brief silence that was quickly broken by the sound of footsteps approaching me. The door soon opened, and I was face to face with my elder brother who was towering over me in his casual clothing, his hair messy and eyes showing obvious signs of drowsiness. Did he just wake up?

"Did I wake you, brother?" I asked.

"No, it's nothing like that Ayaka," He reassured. "It's the opposite."

Opposite? He couldn't mean-

"I was just getting ready for bed," He said chuckling.

Hearing those words made me both angry and worried. He's always working without paying any attention to himself. It's not healthy!

"Brother, you need to take better care of yourself. If you keep forcing your body to stay up around these times to get work done, then you may get sick," I exclaimed, venting my worries to him hoping that he'd listen to me and rest more.

"You don't need to worry about me Ayaka, I'm fine."

Of course. He only said that so I wouldn't worry but, it had the opposite effect. That's the person my brother was, always so stubborn when it came to himself. Honestly, even if I did try to force him to listen to me, I doubt I would get any results.

"Oh yeah that reminds me, didn't you have something you wanted to say to me, Ayaka?"

I froze remembering the main reason I came to my brother's room in the first place. It wasn't to lecture him, but instead to ask him for help.

"Yes, I wanted to ask you for some advice about something that's been bugging me for the past couple of days."

"Hm? Is something bothering you? What is it?"

"Well, do you remember when I went to meet with the Traveler the other day to thank him for assisting the nation demolish the vision hunt decree?"

"Yes, I do remember that quite well. What of it?"
