Martin Mystery bounded into the living room, his usual energy pulsating through the air. "Hey, sis! What's up?"

Diana Lombard glanced up from her book, irritation flickering in her eyes. "Martin, how many times do I have to tell you? Stop calling me your sister!"

"But we practically are, Di," Martin protested, plopping down on the couch beside her. "Step-siblings count too, you know."

Diana sighed, closing her book with a snap. "Yes, technically, we are step-siblings, but that doesn't mean you have to announce it to the whole world."

Martin grinned mischievously. "Come on, Di. Admit it, you secretly love having me as a brother."

Diana rolled her eyes. "More like a nuisance."

Just then, their stepmother, M.O.M., entered the room with a stack of files in hand. "Good morning, you two. Are you ready for your next mission?"

Martin's eyes lit up with excitement. "Absolutely! What's the assignment this time?"

M.O.M. handed him a file. "We've received reports of strange paranormal activity in the nearby forest. I need you two to investigate."

Diana raised an eyebrow. "Together?"

M.O.M. nodded. "Yes, together. You make a good team when you're not bickering like siblings."

Martin and Diana exchanged a glance, both knowing that their dynamic, while chaotic, always led to successful missions. With a shared smirk, they set off to uncover the mysteries lurking in the forest, their sibling rivalry fueling their determination to solve the case.
