As Maisie wakes up, she finds herself in a hospital bed, surrounded by the worried gazes of Billie and Lainey. Confusion clouds her expression as she takes in the sterile surroundings.

Billie: (rushing to her side) Maisie, you're awake! How are you feeling?

Maisie: (rubbing her temples) What happened? Where's Nae?

Lainey: (softly) Maisie, Reneé... she's still in critical condition. The doctors are doing everything they can.

Maisie's eyes widen, and the reality of the situation hits her like a tidal wave. She tries to process the information, grappling with a mix of relief and distress.

Maisie: (whispering) What about the baby?

Billie: (holding her hand) The baby is okay, Maisie. You're both going to be alright.

Maisie takes a moment to absorb the news, her emotions swirling in a turbulent storm. The room falls into a heavy silence as they navigate the uncertain path that lies ahead.

The doctors assure Lainey and Billie that Maisie can go see Reneé. As they lead her towards the room, Maisie's heart pounds with a mix of anticipation and fear. The sterile hospital corridor seems endless until they reach the door.

Maisie pushes the door open, revealing Reneé lying on the hospital bed. Machines hum softly, monitoring her condition. Maisie's eyes well up with tears as she approaches, gently taking Reneé's hand.

Maisie: (whispering) "Hey, Nae Nae... I'm here."

Reneé manages a weak smile, her voice barely audible.

Reneé: "Hey, baby... I missed you."

They share a moment, hand in hand, as Maisie tries to find comfort in Reneé's presence.

Reneé: "Remember that time we went to the beach, and you insisted on building the tallest sandcastle ever?"

Maisie nods, a small smile appearing on her face.

Maisie: "Yeah, and then the waves came and knocked it down."

Reneé: "Exactly. But you didn't get upset. You laughed and said, 'It's just sand.' Life is a bit like that, baby. Sometimes things break, but we can build something even better."

Maisie's eyes shimmer with a mix of emotions as Reneé's words wash over her, providing a comforting embrace.

Maisie: "Will you be okay?"

Reneé smiles weakly, reaching out to brush a strand of hair from Maisie's face.

Reneé: "I'll be okay, sweetheart. Just need a bit of rest and your beautiful smile to light up the room."

Maisie leans in and gently kisses Reneé's forehead, a mixture of relief and gratitude flooding her.

Billie and Lainey exchange a glance before entering the room where Maisie and Reneé are.

Billie: "Hey, mamas. Sorry to interrupt, your lovey-dovey moment, but we wanted to check in and see how you're holding up, Reneé."

Reneé looks at them with gratitude.

Reneé: "I'm doing okay. Just want to recover quickly."

Lainey: "Anything we can do for you, love?"

Reneé smiles weakly.

Reneé: "Just having you here is enough. And thanks for taking care of each other and me during all this."

Billie hugs Reneé gently.

Billie: "We're family, remember? We stick together."

They share a moment of quiet support, knowing the road ahead might be tough but feeling reassured in each other's company.
