02. Chapter two

ooo. I use the choices as the dialogue for the most of it for Lumine( yes im using lumine instead of aether cause i can )

ooo. it had been around a week since what had happened with the weird smells, and as of now, one Yao Gui was as hiding away from a woman known as Yelan. Mostly because she was intimidated by the woman. When she went towards the part of the chasm that she was sure that no one would be at, she sees the same woman she was hiding from there, making her jolt as she quickly hid behind a rock. She also saw some other weird people in outfits she hasn't seen- well, there was one person there that she knows, and her name was yanfei, some legal woman who works in the law of some sorts. Other than that, all the people there were in clothes she doesn't recognize, though they were similar to someone on a pirate crew who came from the land of Electro

The people were having some conversation, "that's close enough" yelan tells the man with- hold on. He has red horns. 'Another person with animal features?! Is he like mr. Tighnari?' Or maybe he's like miss. Ganyu, is!' Her eyes brighten in intrigue as she stares at his horns

"Huh? Who are you?" His words brought her out of the trance as she listened intently. She was curious about the people in clothes she doesn't recognize, "sorry. This area is part of the Chasm. It's closed off to the general public" yelan tells him, and he looked at her in disbelief of what she was sprouting to him

"Are you kidding me! I don't see any warning signs or fences, what gives you the right to keep me out?" He complains to her, and she tch's as she places a hand on her hip, "kid, where there's real danger, you'll never see a warning sign" yelan scoffs as she shakes her at him

"Uh, Paimon never knew this place was so important" The flying girl says, speaking in the 3rd person, which makes yao gui add the girls name to her memory. Though the fact the paimon girl could fly makes her curious, "it really is a important place..." the blonde woman with some unusual looking dress replies as she trails off as she looked at paimon

"It's true," yanfei starts off, making the blonde woman look forward at her, ",this is not a place you can just go in and out as you wish. That's also why i didn't want anyone to follow me. Unfortunately, you didn't listen..." yanfei trails off, of course yao gui already knew about the chasm. Of course she wasn't included on 'you can't just go in as you please' rule since she does live here and has lived here for a long time

"The traveler has done a lot for Liyue in the past, and Yanfei is a renowned legal consultant in Liyue, so i can trust their intentions. As for you two..." yelan trails off as she stared at the two people. Yao gui's eyes move over to the pair

"Hey! What's that supposed to mean?! You trying to say i'm not famous enough and my intentions are no good?" He complains as his companion just stood there

"I don't know your background, so i can't give you free passage here. Besides, yanfei doesn't seem to need your help, does she?" Yelan snaps back, in all honesty, yao gui was very intrigued by their banter

"Hah! How would you know what Yanfei needs? What, are you two joined at the hip or something?" He snaps  back, "right... anyway, i don't need to be a mind reader to see that...? In any case, as a visitor from Inazuma, i'd suggest you defer to a local when in doubt. Stick to the local rules and keep yourself out of trouble" yelan snaps back, crossing her arms, yao gui had to hide a laugh

"Argh! Why you..."

"Please, try not to be impulsive. She is right, you know" the green haired woman snaps at him, looking up at him whilst the Paimon looks at the so called Traveler, "uh-oh, things are starting to get a little heated here!" Paimon exclaims in worry as Yanfei puts a hand up to her forehead as she looks stressed about the hot headed horned man while yao gui blinks her eyes at his banter

"It's true that we don't know anything about the unique conditions or this place, so we'll head your advice and leave immediately. But if this really is a dangerous area, seriously, you should put up a sign" the green haired woman tells Yelan, though yao gui wouldn't help but feel more worried if people knew more about this place. It was already nerve wracking to know that the mean researchers from the land of Dendro bother her whenever they really can

"Thanks for the suggestion. I'll consider it" yelan says sarcastically, making the man cross his arms, "oh yeah? And what if don't leave? Hmm?" He taunts as he had his eyes closed and his head was moved towards the side, "boss!" The green haired woman exclaims to the man

"Then i'm afraid things might get... unpleasant" yelan says back, making one yao gui jolt as she stared at yelan and the people from the land of Electro worriedly

"Is that so? You really think you can take the two of us? Gotta admit, i like your optimism" he tells her confidently, yao gui's eyes switch from the people from Inazuma and Yelan, "although your friends with the traveler and yanfei, i'd still suggest you head by warning" yelan warns the man

"Haha... thanks for that, but i'm not buyin' it!( mf SHUT UP 🏃🏻‍♀️ ) if you're so strong, then why don't you show me what you got!" The man challenges, 'i gotta stop that horn man before he gets in trouble with miss. Yelan!! That and the chasm's been unstable!!'  Yao gui thinks quickly since as of late, around this area, there's been strange shaking. And since this is her home, she doesn't want it to be destroyed

She watches as they went to go fight while yanfei went to calm down, and just as she took a step out from her hiding spot, she sucks in a breath, "You can't fight in this-" she yelled out just as the others looked at her when the ground began shaking, and soon- the ground below them collapses.
