ISABEL HADN'T EXPECTED the Football to go flying towards her, hitting her harshly across the face, but it did. She was sat with her mouth slightly agape and her hand on the right side of her face, far too stunned to speak — the only sound surrounding her being the gasps of the people on the beach.
The ball was kicked at a savage force, making the side of Issy's face burn red and feel sore. She felt embarrassed as everyone watched her. She didn't know what to do. Should she just act like nothing happened? Get up and leave?
Before the girl could come to a decision, she was approached by one of the boys that were playing football. "I'm so sorry." He spoke, his voice not very deep for a boy.
Isabel looked up at him, raising her other hand to cover her eyes so that she was able to get a better look at the boy. He had brown hair that had a few waves mixed within the thickness of it, and it looked as if it was in need of a cut due to the few strands that hung over his doe, cat-like eyes. His lips were in between the size of small and big, his Cupids bow being deeply defined. Though, despite his fierce eyes and pretty lips, what stood out most to Issy was the dimples that dented his cheeks.
"It's okay." Issy awkwardly shook her head, her lips forming a tight line as she slowly looked away and at her legs, far too embarrassed to look him in the eye.
"No, really," The boy continued, kneeling down so they his face could become level with Issy's. "I'm sorry, it looked like it hurt." He nodded his head to the girls' sore face. A small, awkward smile tugged at the corner of Isabel's lips as a quiet chuckle fell from her lips. He seemed sweet.
"It's fine, I'm okay." She reassured the boy, who sighed and nodded slightly.
"Hey," The boy nervously began, standing up and rubbing the non-existent dirt from his shorts. "You should come to my friends party tonight — said he wants to make it one of his biggest." He shrugged and Issy couldn't help but chuckle as his awkwardness.
Going to a party was something Isabel never would choose to go to. She was always the kind to stay in her bedroom, revising, reading or listening to music. The night life never appealed to her, and whenever her brother would go out to parties with his friends in high school, she could never understand the entertainment about it. However, the revamped Isabel knew she had to get out more and socialize — even if she didn't really want to. So, after thinking over the boys proposal, she slowly nodded her head, a small smile tugging at her lips.
"Great!" He happily spoke, his body visibly relaxing now that Issy's answer was out in the open. "Uhm, you know where Lee Heeseung lives, right?"
"Yeah." Isabel bobbed her head. Lee Heeseung was a boy around her brothers age. He was well known within the neighborhood of holiday homes for not only his handsome looks and kind personality, but also his night changing parties.
"Cool, the party starts at 8, so come anytime after that." The boy before Issy shrugged, nodding his head, awkwardly glancing over at Niah, who held in a giggle, excitement filling her bones at the situation the Park girl was in.
"Great, see you then..." Isabel trailed off, soon realizing she didn't know the boys name.
"Jungwon — and you're Isabel, right?" Jungwon announced, and Issy couldn't help but smile as she nodded her head.
"But call me Issy."
"Okay, see you at 8, Issy." Jungwon waved, before he rejoined his game of Football after retrieving the football.
A blush formed on Issy's cheeks as she bowed her head, her stomach fluttering around filled with butterflies. "He just asked you out!" Niah exclaimed, a wide smile on her face as Isabel immediately shook her head, denying the girls statement.
"No, he only asked me to go to a party, that's all." Issy shrugged, and Niah scoffed, rolling her eyes.
"Well, he didn't ask me." She deadpanned, a smirk on her lips as she leaned over and playfully judged the blushing girl. Isabel Park was excited for the party later, and she was happy that not once did Jake Sim appear in her head.

"But why can't we go?" Jay questioned, a whine lacing his voice as he sat at the dining room table, an annoyed look on his face as he watched as Isabel put her silver heels on.
"Shut up, Jay." Niah huffed, slapping the boys shoulder. "This is Issy's night, she's met a boy."
"Yeah, a boy she's known for less then five minutes." Jake stated, folding his arms across his chest. He wasn't too happy about the whole idea. It was weird in his opinion. How could anyone be pleased about that idea? "And it's barely even a date. It's Lee Heeseung's party." He scoffed out.
"Don't be jealous, Jake," Issy grinned, grabbing her bag and making her way over to the front door. "Just because you don't get asked to go to parties —"
"I have been asked to parties, I've just chosen to decline their offer." Jake stated, feeling odd about the way the girl was behaving. Usually, as soon as he would disapprove of something, Isabel went with what he said... so why wasn't that the case this time?
"Whatever." Issy shook her head. "I'll see you guys later."
"Phone us if anything happens!" She heard Niki yell after her once she was down the porch steps.
Isabel could feel her heart pound nervously against her chest. She was filled with nerves and she had thoughts on backing out. She'd never been to a party before — let alone on her own, so this would be a new experience.
