Pantalone could be described as what you would consider a "hobbyist". Due to the mundane nature of his work, he often passed time by trying new things or coming back to old activities. He dabbled in everything from cooking, painting, knitting, even dancing and sculpting. You say he was a "jack of all trades".

So naturally, when flipping through today's paper, a particular advertisement intrigued him. A writing contest, from the Yae Publishing House. It was almost perfect, personally organized just for him. There were no requirements; you didn't have to be experienced or skilled, just pure fun among writers new and old. And it offered all genres, perspectives, and themes, too! The broadness of it seemed to pique Pantalone's interest even more.

Ah, but just what could he write? He's not creative enough to spawn original characters, but who outside of Snezhnaya would want to hear the autobiography of a Fatui Harbinger? His eyes wondered to the next page, pausing on a particular quote from another Yae Publishing House advertisement.

And then it clicked to him. Although an autobiography may not gain much traction, a dramatic romance between two Harbingers sure would. A deranged scientist and a flirty banker... Archons, him and his husband really were a truly a trope straight from a corny love story.

Almost immediately he flattened a sheet of paper onto his desk, scribbling down sentences as the creative juices began to flow. Ah, suddenly those romance light novels he had been hooked on for weeks were starting to take effect.

And from then on he kept writing, and writing, and writing. Time seemed to slip from his fingers as he burnt paragraph after paragraph onto the parchment. Ideas seemed to just spill from his mind to the paper below him effortlessly. It was quite fun, really.

Though, he couldn't help but ponder how exactly Dottore would take to this idea... well, he could worry about that later! Besides, Dottore is constantly fucking him over and annoying the bloody hell out of him, so why not get back at him every now and then? He could buy himself out of conflict if necessary.

Hours seemed to slip past one by one with each thoughtful word and adequately structured sentence. He managed to complete a whole chapter and checked it over for any errors. It was perfect. A beautiful piece, especially for a first time writer. He smiled, quietly slipping the paper into one of his desk drawers. What a day. As he tidied up his office for the night, he reminisced fondly on his work.

Nothing or nobody could explain his feelings. Was it love? Was it hate? Maybe both? But something, something kept drawing him back to the blue-haired man.
