I've always wanted to be a pokemon trainer, to go on adventures with Verde by my side while we explore what we can of Unova. I want to see the world and grasp it with my hands so I can share it with her. But she's just a Sprigatito and I'm her oh so terrible trainer, I can't do much to help her, so I do the only thing I know I can.
"Alright time to get up. C'mon Verde, let's go for a walk." My voice is low due to disuse, I don't really talk to anyone but her anymore, most of my old friendships have faded. I know that I only have myself to blame, if you don't put in the effort, your relationships will fade to time.
I've come to realize that this is the only thing I can do to help her be stronger. I used to do a lot more, we used to battle against the other trainers here at Blueberry Academy, practice all of her moves. But it all feels so pointless now, I know we won't make it but I have to pretend for her. I can't let her know how far I've fallen, but I'm sure she knows, sprigatitos are smarter than most give them credit. But even so, if this facade can give her a little hope it'll do.

Getting up I take a look around my room, it's covered with posters and figures of Blue and Iono. I grab my Rotom Phone.
"Gonna need to get a new case and some stickers." I quietly tell myself. The stickers have faded and I don't feel like cleaning it all off of the case. Lets see that's another 2,500 poke down the Deino for the case alone, another 1,000 for the stickers. Ugh looks like i'm eating a little less this month unless i somehow manage to score some extra bp.
As we leave my dorm I quickly check the time. 5 P.M. that means quite a few people will be out as most extracurricular activities are getting done, hopefully I don't run into Carmine and her weird little brother. I could deal with either of them alone as I would only need to threaten to tell the other about their crush on someone, I don't even know who they like.
"Where do you wanna go, Verde?"
"Sprig, sprigatito," her voice was high and energetic. Let's go to the terrarium. We can take a run through there and if we're lucky we can find a decent fight for her.
Verde runs ahead of me as soon as I open the door.
"Verde, wait up. You dont wanna get lost on the way do you?" As I'm a senior my dorm is at the top of the dorm area. So we had to walk down a couple floors then across the tunnel to the main area. That has quite a lot of ways for me to bump into someone but Verde gets what Verde wants.
Oh and I can already see someone coming over.
"Oh hey there Cher, Gramps was complaining that he never sees you. When you gonna show up to the gym leader reunion with your parents, it's been years since you last showed up." And here comes Drayton to ruin my mood. Come on just hold up that fake smile of yours and hope it works.
"Oh, hey Drayton... Sorry about not coming...I've just been getting sick when it happens... And I don't want anyone getting sick." That was a lie and he knows it doesnt he.
