Santana and I went out almost every day after our first actual encounter with sex. If we didn't go out, we skyped and talked on the phone for hours. It felt good to be back in the swing of things with her, we had a date to my cousin's wedding today and I was really excited to go on our first public date.

I dressed in a white button up shirt and a soft maroon tie that Santana had insisted would match her dress. As I was stepping into my black dress pants, Rory stumbled into the dorm.

"Oh hey man" He slurred.

"Rory, dude, you gotta stop doing this to yourself." I insisted, I helped him into his bunk. Last week, Shay had changed her mind about Rory. She didn't want anything super serious like the promise ring, she gave it back and skipped town with some guy named Josh and last I heard, she was happy to be away from NYC.

"I miss her"

"I know you do, but drinking yourself into oblivion isn't going to bring her back. It's just going to ruin your liver and your breath. Just sleep it off and then in the morning you'll feel better. This is detox, I need you sober, alright?" When I looked back at him he was passed out in his bunk.

-

"Hey! I'm here" I called into Santana's seemingly empty apartment. She waltzed back inside from the balcony looking absolutely beautiful. Her dark hair was pulled into a curly ponytail and she had on a t-shirt style maroon dress with nude heels.

"Well hello there handsome" She said with a smile.

"We could always skip the wedding and you could sit on my lap and we can watch movies and make out instead?" I suggested. She laughed and pointed to the door.

"First of all, we both know there won't be much watching as much as there would be making out, second, this is your cousin and third maybe we could make out a little bit because you in that outfit is turning me on." She grabbed the tie, spinning me around and pulling me close. I dipped my head into her, passionately kissing her lips. I pushed her lightly against the wall, trailing my lips down her neck and to her collar bone. She moaned and I smiled against her skin, her legs wrapped around my waist and I took that opportunity to support her by grabbing her butt and carrying her to the bedroom. "We really have to go" she whispered.

"It's a wedding, they never start on time anyways" I said as I fiddled for the zipper on her dress.

-

The wedding ceremony was beautiful, flowers everywhere. My cousin Maddie and Abbi were absolutely beautiful. I was so glad they finally got to be happy together. Santana and I stood in the center of what appeared to be a ballroom, the walls were painted gold and all of a sudden other couples made their way out to the floor, holding each other lovingly. After the first slow song, meant to showcase Maddie and Abbi, a faster song replaced it over the speakers.

I grabbed Santana's hand and lead her over to Maddie who was pulling away from a group of chatty elderly folks, though Abbi stayed to speak to them. "Sebastian Smythe? Is that you?"

"Mads! Hey, how've you been?" I laughed.

"Oh great! Abbi and I just bought a house actually, time to pop out of the apartment and into the real world."

I chuckled. "Yeah, I felt that way when I moved to my dorm"

"Dorm? College boy?"

"Julliard actually, yeah."

Maddie's eyes widened. "Wow! And who is this lovely lady?"

"Santana Lopez, Sebastian and I met in highschool."

"Girlfriend?" Maddie asked, shaking Santana's hand.

"Who's Abbi talking to?" I asked, changing the subject.

"Oh those are her bosses, she's been dealing with their homophobic ruling. She figured this would be a good way to come out to them."

-

The wedding went strong until around midnight, Maddie and I talked most of the night. "Why don't you come and spend the night at our place?" Abbi suggested, Maddie nodded.

"Please Seb, I haven't seen you in ages." Maddie pleaded. I looked to Santana who nodded enthusiastically, she had really hit it off with Abbi when they met and I think she wanted to talk more about cheerleading and singing. Abbi had turned out to be an exact replica of Santana in high school. It was good to see Maddie again too, we agreed to the invitation and headed out to the cars.

Hello kittens!

WOW OKAY SO IF YOU HAVEN'T HEARD: The USA has legalized gay marriage in ALL 50 states! Since Canada has had it legalized 10 years ago, North America is completely equal. Though the battle is far from over, this is super great!

Though I'm straight and Canadian, this is great for my American LGBTQA+ friends! Congratulations #LoveWins

(and i'm sure Santana and Sebastian would be super stoked)

Anyways Maddie and Abbi are cute! I love it! A little pride for y'all. Also that steamy exchange before the wedding was pretty hot. Rory and Shay! Thoughts? Do you think that Shay should come back or no?

I'm working on my original title. More shall be revealed shortly. Sorry for such a short chapter, but I'm working on it!

Happy pride kittens.

I love you,

Kate.
