WEDDING, my wedding

WEDDING, my wedding. But I'm not marrying my Fiancé, I'm marrying him, a man I don't know, don't love, and don't trust.

It's been two days since I left Marci, within those two days I was moved into Zane's home.

"Hello, my lovely bride." He comes up behind me and grabs my waist. His touch feels disgusting, nothing like Marci's, nothing like the one I live for.

"Don't touch me." I shove his hands off me and walk away to zip up my wedding dress. It's white and plain, because I couldn't have picked it out.

"Don't talk to me like that, Diamond, don't forget what happened last night." How could I? After making progress and trying to heal myself from abuse, it happens to me again. I have concealer covered my black eye right now. "Be a good bride."

"Get out, your not supposed to see me anyways." He chuckles but leaves.

I look down at the ring on my finger, I hate it. It's a engagement ring, but it's not my engagement ring, mine had meaning, a purpose. Mine had love, adoration, This one has, pain, agony. My ring felt perfect for my finger this one feels like it's burning it.

And the most important difference. I loved the man who gave me my ring.

I sit down in the chair and try to hold back my tears as the makeup artist does my makeup.

"You're all done." I nod, now I have to go to the hairstylist.

" I nod, now I have to go to the hairstylist

"KILL him."

"Boss, we can't just kill him in his home, he has guards surrounding it."

"I know that."

"So then what's the plan?" Santiago asks.

"Shotgun wedding."

I stand behind the doors as a random man links our games together, I don't even know him, he's not even close to being my dad I'd that's what Zane's trying to imitate

I stand behind the doors as a random man links our games together, I don't even know him, he's not even close to being my dad I'd that's what Zane's trying to imitate. Neither of my parents would be walking me down the aisle, Shawn would do it.

The doors open and I start walking, my head low as the veil covers my face as I sob. I don't know anyone here, absolutely no one. It'd be nice if there was a cute quiet kid here. Or a flower girl, but there isn't, it's a no kid's wedding.

I'm not sure I want to do this. I stop walking once I stop at Zane's feet. I stand in front of the man, crying silently. I just wanna go home, with my babies, that's all I want. My babies and my husband are all I want.

I can hear the officiant, but I'm not listening, none of this matters, it's not meaningful, it's not me, it's not us. I look at the man in front of me, and the men be behind him staring at me like I'm a piece of meat, which to them, is exactly what I am. A sex toy, something that's for their pleasure. I don't want to think about what Zane might do to me later, haven't I been through enough?

I never had a relationship with my mom or my dad, I was raped, got pregnant, my mom kicked me out when she found out, I stupidly married my rapist, he abused me every single night, and now I'm being forced into another abusive relationship.

When does it stop?

When do I get my happy ending?

Maybe this it, maybe this is my ending, I'm not supposed to be happy. Everything goes wrong. Everything.

"If anyone has any objections as to why this man shouldn't marry this woman, speak now or forever hold your peace." Please, please someone save me.

"I object." That's him, I know it is, that's my baby. Marci.

The second after he says that bullets fly, hitting Zane in the process. Bodies are dropping like flies.

I cover my ears, close my eyes, and hope for the best.

Blood everywhere, blood is spilling over the floor, surrounding bodies, and staining the white carpet I just walked on.

Finally the gunfire stops. I look up and see him, the love of my life. I run to him and he holds out his arms. I finally reach him. This isn't even close to a hug. It's a embrace of love. Me and my fiancé, my fiancé who just took a whole new meaning to shotgun wedding.

THE BIG DAY

July 4th, our wedding day, and Independence Day. I picked this day because, I'm independent now, yes I'm in a relationship, but control myself. I stand in my wedding dress smiling. I look beautiful, I just hope Marci thinks so too.

"Diamond, you look beautiful." Rosalie says.

"Thank you, Mrs Caruso." I smile at her.

"Are you ready yet?" Shawn walks in and smiles when he looks at me. "Wow. Y'know I'm still not used to the fact that your marrying my best friend and that you had his children." When you word it like that it sounds...

"I'm ready."

"Okay, let's walk down the aisle."
___________

We and Shawn walk out together, arms linked, and tissues in his hand. I keep wiping but the tears aren't stopping, as I look at my soon to be husband.

I finally stand in front of him and Shawn leaves my side to stand behind Marci since he's the best man.

"We gather here today to celebrate the union of Diamond Cameron and Marciano Caruso. We are here to support this commitment of love and to share the joy of Diamond and Marciano as they chose to spend their lives together."

I look at the man I'm marrying, he's so beautiful.

If someone had told me a year ago that I would be marrying Marci, I would've laughed in their face. But now it's happening, it's happening, I'm marrying the love of my life.

"If anyone has reason to object this marriage speak now or forever hold your peace." Marci pulls his gun out of his suit pocket and points it at the crowd. The wedding party does the same.

The crowd laughs but I know that Marci is dead serious. "Alright, by the authority vested in me by the State of Nevada, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride." Marci lifts my veil and places his lips on mine I wrap my arms around his neck, pulling him as close as possible. He grips my waist and pulls me as close to him as possible.

"Not too much." Shawn says, and Marci chuckles after pulling away.

"I love you Marci."

"I love you too, Sapphire."

I'll publish the epilogue soon, then I'll do a couple bonuses.
