Chapter fourteen: Acting shot

I wake up to the sound of a busy environment. I take a shower. Once I'm done I decide to wear a Lacy blue bra with matching pants,a green t-shirt and black jeans.
Their part of the clothes Lily gave me,I slip on a pair of black sneakers, light makeup and I am ready. I put the clothes I borrowed from Sera into a bag so that I'll return it.
I grab a PB cake and rush out of the house. Once I step out of the garage I expect my step mom and her useless daughters to be with her but surprisingly there's no one, That's fishy.
I grab a latte then hail a cab,off I am to work. let's hope that today won't go terribly.
"Maria good morning" Lily says as soon as I enter the building.
"Hi Lily,how are you?" I ask, she's wearing the same thing except that her shirts gold.
"I'm good and you?" She asks,"okay I guess" I reply.
"Rough night?" She asks,"Nope,it was surprisingly peaceful" I say thinking about what my step mom and her daughter's could be cooking up. I could just imagine them in a witch's gown and their cauldron full of me and them saying 'hahaha, she's never gonna know what hit her'. Yish!.
"That's weird" she says
"Tell me about it" I joke as we head for the elevator.
"So your the third female lead for Gangs and Gangster" she says changing the topic.
"Yup, i still can't believe it" I say giddily. "So who are the other leads?"she asks.
"I don't know but I'll see today, what are you going to be doing?" I ask.
"I'm acting in 'My love from the sky' and I'm the female lead.
"Oh my! That's so cool, it's the new drama everyone's talking about, it's gonna be shot where?"
"In new Zealand and guess who the male lead is!" Lily says excitedly and I feel a pang of sadness but I don't say it.
"Who?"I ask matching her enthusiasm
"It's Caleb stone, like THE fucking Caleb stone" she says dancing as we head out of the elevator.
"Holy fuck bestie, that's such a huge role,I would kill for that spot and who knows you could finally be an A-LISTER" I say so happy for her.
"I'll be leaving soon actually" she says bitterly. "But New Zealand's so far away" I say looking down. How would I survive without her.
"Don't worry I might not leave that soon and I'll always come back" she says.
"But.."
"Look, I'm not leaving forever and by the time I come back I'll get enough money to set you free okay?" She says
"Promise?" I ask
"Promise" she says as Sera comes out. Sera's wearing an Ash slim fitting gown,she has brown hair and hazel eyes.
"Good morning Sera"I and Lily say
"Morning, Maria let's head down,Mr Hort's waiting for us" Sera says.
"Okay,bye Lily, let's leave together"
"Sure thing" Lily says.
I take the next elevator with Sera. Once we enter the meeting room where Mr Hort is waiting for us I'm shocked to see Arie talking with him. She can't be a lead right?
