A depressing song

A depressing song fills the air

Bouncing off the walls like a child on a sugar rush

From room to room in the empty house

Flowing everywhere to fill the void

The song makes its way back to the place it began

It stops in a corner where a ball of shadow sits

Sobs rake through it revealing a young girl

It watches as she cries and cries, sniffling every so often

Waiting for her to get up or do something different

The song realizes that she is not crying for someone else

But she sits there broken and paralyzed for herself

After a while she slowly stands up and makes her way to the bathroom

The song follows her very curious of what the girl will do

Watching as she starts up a bath, and fixes her hair and makeup

Once full she climbs in fully clothed and sits for a second

Then it watches as she plunges under

Bubbles rise to the surface then slowly stop

And once again, a depressing song fills the air

Bouncing off the wall like a child with a sugar rush.
