Becca’s P.O.V

I slowly ran my finger over the edge of the desk, taking everything in. I walked over to the window and looked over to the park, the sun was setting and caught the metal bench perfectly. I smiled, remembering the days we had spent messing around in there and that day Beau pushed me off the swing. I turned and sat slowly on my bed, I imagined the times I woke up seeing Beau sleeping peacefully next to me and the other times seeing Lily drunk flat out on it too.

‘You ready? Katy is loading the car up now’ Lily smiled, interrupting my thoughts. I sighed and looked round the room one last time, we may have only been there for 3 months but so much had happened in that time that it felt like it was my childhood home. Lily softly rubbed my arm, telling me it was time to go.

‘I’m going to miss you girls you know, it’s going to be weird going back to being on my own again’ Katy chuckled to herself as she drove us to the airport. I was sat in the back again just like the first time we met Katy, I zoned out again and stared out the window watching the city of Melbourne fall asleep as the night came in.

We arrived at the airport within 45 minutes and just like they had promised, Beau, Luke, Jai, James, Skip and Gina were waiting for us in the entrance.

‘You can go with the girls as far as they will let you but you need to come back through as soon the plane has taken off okay?’ Gina told the boys. They nodded obediently.

‘It was lovely meeting you Lily’ She smiled, hugging Lily. Gina was always a little cautious about Lily, I think every adult is, but as time went on she grew to like her more, especially when her and Jai got back together.

‘And of course you Becca’ she smiled, bringing me into a warm hug. ‘Thank you for making Beau so happy’ she whispered. I caught Beau’s eye as he smiled, hearing what his mum had said.

‘Take care of yourselves you two, okay? And you’re always welcome to stay if you come back to Melbourne’ Katy said, giving us both a group hug.

‘Thank you for taking care of us’ Lily replied politely. Katy nodded and quickly rushed off back to the car, I swear I saw a few tears in her eyes but she told us she just had a work emergency.

I turned to the boys and interlocked my fingers with Beau’s, Lily did the same with Jai and linked arms with Luke. Skip bounded up next to us and James flung his arm around my shoulder. The 7 of us walked through the airport like it was us against the world and nothing was stopping us.

We still had an hour until our plane was taking off so Luke insisted on buying us all Maccas.

‘You’re so disgusting’ I laughed, watching Skip and Luke race to see who could eat a whole cheeseburger faster.

‘GOOOOAL’ Luke cheered, jumping up from his seat once his burger was finished. We sat in fits of giggles as Skip spat out his burger in defeat.

‘C’mon one last selfie’ Luke smiled, he brought out his phone and told to us gather around him. He took a quick photo and uploaded it to instagram and twitter putting the caption as ‘going to miss these British bitches’.

Before we knew our flight was being called and groups on tourists started huddling round the boarding area. I watched Jai spin Lily round, kissing her passionately and holding on to her like he never wanted to lose her.

‘Call me when you get home okay’ he whispered. She nodded and rested her head against his chest, wiping a stray tear from her eye. I smiled at the two of them and started on my goodbyes.

‘I’m going to miss you Jamesy, stay out of trouble yeah?’ I joked, hugging James before pecking him on the cheek.

‘I can’t promise anything’ he laughed, giving me one last hug. I moved on to Skip who still looked slightly ill from the cheeseburger.

‘What am I going to do without my little Becs?’ Skip winked, picking me up.

‘You can put me down for a start’

He started laughing as I quickly pecked his lips.

‘I’m going to miss sharing your girlfriend Beau’ he called over. Beau rolled his eyes but hung back until I had finished.

‘Look after my boyfriend for me please’ I chuckled to Luke as I hugged him.

‘Of course I will, once he’s stopped being so depressed after you’ve left’ he smiled. I shook my head before turning to Beau. His eyes were watery but he tried his best to smile and stay strong. He tilted my chin up and kissed my lips gently but passionately as he snaked his arms around my waist.

‘Please don’t go’ he whispered in to the kiss.

‘I’m not going anywhere’ I said softly, slotting the key from his bracelet into my necklace. He cupped my face in his hands and kissed me again.

‘I love you, please don’t ever forget that’

‘I love you too Beau, forever’ I smiled as tears poured down my cheeks.

The final call for our plane was announced and the boarding area was starting to clear. Lily stood in front of Luke and started to speak to him, I couldn’t hear exactly what they were saying but out of nowhere she pulled him down and kissed him softly.

‘Goodbye Luke’ she whispered. I joined her at her side and started walking towards the cabin crew who were taking our tickets. I looked back at the 5 boys who had made our time in Australia absolutely incredible. I waved at Beau as another set of tears came streaming down and Lily stood there silent staring at Jai.

‘Can I take your ticket please miss’ the lady asked. I turned away from the boys and handed her my ticket and without looking back me and Lily walked away and on to the plane.

‘Well, was that enough of an adventure for you?’ I asked Lily once we were up in the sky. She looked out the window and paused for second.

‘You know, I’d do anything to do it all over again’ she spoke.

I looked at her and smiled, I knew what she meant, not one word could describe our time in Melbourne. The ups, the downs, the break ups and the make ups. There were some times I wish we’d never come in the first place but looking back I couldn’t have wanted it any other way. I thought back to our first day at the school when Lily first introduced me to Jai, the boy from the park. Then meeting Beau, I chuckled to myself thinking about the whole ‘just friends’ thing, I guess that never worked out. I remembered the look on Lily’s face when she found out she was pregnant and the look on Jai’s when he found out she was cheating on him with his own twin. When we went back home and the party with Matt and of course the endless games of truth or dare. Maybe I would meet my 4 best friends again sometime and maybe I would see the boy I truly loved again, but if not it didn’t matter because nothing could replace the memories that we had created in the past 3 months. Nothing could ever replace that.

I actually got a little teary writing this part and of course I had to include one direction in the youtube video at the side ;) Please keep voting and giving me feedback. Thank yoou.
