Sora, Chris, Matt, Shiro... Names... Do they really have any meaning? Mine sure doesn't. Miles. The only time my name spoken is when I make a mistake. No cheerful mom to call me, no serious tone from dad to talk about life. Just teachers. Those who have authority. The ones that throw me into the darkness saying my name with that ugly, scornful, irritated voice of theirs. Ugh, time for class to start... Screw them, I'm fine by myself.

"No, no! Gonna be late, gonna be late!!!"
The teacher was writing her name on the bored as I stumbled into the silent classroom, like a total idiot.
"It looks like we have our first late student! Would you like to introduce yourself?" she said sarcastically.
"Uh...! M-my name! Im Momoko! Nice to meet you all!" I said chuckling a bit.
They all stared at me. Was it the way I looked? My accent? I know Im foreign but, its not that bad! I sighed and walked over to the only empty seat. I sat down looking around. I leaned over to the boy next to me and whispered, "Good first impression right...?" He didn't even look back... Am I that bad??? First day of my American life, complete failure.

About a month into school, my grades are perfect. I'll say I'm quite proud of myself! But... what's the use if I can't tell anyone about it. Who cares, I don't need anybody.
I read my book as usual, walking through the hallway to English class. Books are my only interest in life. Especially fantasies. Being able to find yourself, lost in a world that never existed. In a world that will never exist no matter how much you try. In a world that will- "Oww..." I looked up rubbing my head to see what some people would call a monster. All I saw was a senior at my school, looking down on me with furious eyes.
"Do you know who I am kid???"
"No. Please excuse me."
I walked passed him only to be lifted in the air by my collar. I stared into his eyes for a bit and then... Fear hit me. Traumatizing fear... I can't remember what, but my eyes went wide, and my breathing was heavy.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, please! Please put me down!!!" I felt my body go numb, after a sharp pain hit my stomach, sending me into a wall. I sat there, a meaningless wall decoration, a part of the wall now. I couldn't see... My glasses were broken. Y-yellow... The color yellow. Flying in the air, then flew towards me, hitting me in the face. I closed my eyes, in pain, but somewhere in that pain, past all of the suffering... A faint feeling, of warmth.

Momo
Almost a month had passed in my first year of high school. Here in America, no friends, no help, average grades. Just me, and my phone. I had my headphones in, silencing the cruel, outside world. Walking through the hallway, I looked up to see that kid again... The silent one. Only this time, he was 8 feet in the air. I stopped and focused in closer. H-his eyes... T-those eyes... The eyes of someone who's family was killed right in front of him. His eyes were closed now, as I saw his glasses fall off of his head, his body a ragdoll, crashing into the wall. I felt anger surging through my body... "Hey!!!"
"What do you want kid?"
I walked up to him landing a big left hook on his face moving him back a bit. Anger, and rage, and vengeance.
As I blinked, I felt my body dangling in the air, just like him.
"So blondy, I hear you're the new kid! I bet you're his girlfriend aren't ya?"
"L-let go of me y-you bully!!!!"
I spun around my legs flailing in the air, managing to kick him right in the mouth. Bad idea.
"That's it kid!"
My hair was about to be ripped out, then, I couldn't feel anything.
"H-hey, you're hurting me... I can't
m-move, get off me..."
I slowly opened my eyes.
"Oh, I'm sorry, Where am I?" I muttered trying to remember.
"I don't know... I can't see."
"Me neither." I said. Pain. Surging through my body. But, I can feel a little bit... it's small, but I feel it. This is another person. It's their warmth.
