S.Coups and Jeonghan are waiting outside the front door, arms crossed, as Jennie's driver pulls into the driveway and drops me off.

"Thank you," I say, sending the driver a quick smile before stepping out of the vehicle. He drives off as soon as the door shuts.

"So, how'd it go?" Jeonghan steps forward; brows creased in worry.

I ignore him, looking toward S.Coups instead. His face holds no emotion, but I can see the tension in his shoulders. "She told me to let you know that you have her sponsorship."

The tension immediately leaves his body, and he smiles. "Great job, Y/N." He pats my shoulder, and, for some reason, it makes me feel valued. It's a strange feeling, especially with S.Coups being the cause of it.

"What else is there?" Jeonghan says, moving to stand behind S.Coups. He tilts his head slightly as he observes my face. "You're not mentioning something."

"Don't worry," I quickly say as S.Coups purses his lips. "It's good. Or, well, it's good that you'll know about it."

"Well, stop teasing us," Jeonghan scoffs. "What is it?"

"Jennie had me search a group called N.Flying's house," I say as I pull out my phone and bring up the picture. "I found this on one of the member's laptops."

S.Coups snatches my phone and brings it close to his face. Meanwhile, Jeonghan stands on his toes to look over S.Coups' shoulder.

"Hmm," The leader hums before handing the phone back to me. "A strange choice on their part. Did you tell Jennie about this?"

I shake my head. While returning her necklace, I seriously debated it, but I didn't want to accidentally cause more problems for Seventeen by showing it to her. If it was something Jennie needed to know, S.Coups could share it with her.

"Good. It's better if we keep this for ourselves now." He turns back to Jeonghan. "With this and the USB, we should be able to stop whatever plan they're piecing together."

I instinctively step back, sensing I'm not supposed to be part of this conversation.

"Y/N, do me a favor and send that picture to me."

"Okay. Anything else?"

With a small wave of his hand and a shake of his head, S.Coups dismisses me. "No. Thank you again for helping tonight, despite how you were dragged into it," He adds with a fiery glare pointed at Jeonghan.

The remake makes Jeonghan roll his eyes. "Sorry, Y/N. But the group is my number one priority. I hope you understand."

I stare at him blankly, which Jeonghan takes as an invitation to retreat inside.

"I'll send you over some money for the trouble tonight," S.Coups says, avoiding eye contact. "You deserve it," He quickly adds as my mouth opens to decline.

"Thank you," I stutter out. I surely hadn't expected this reaction from him, but I can't say I'm upset about it. "Good night, S.Coups," I say, concluding that maybe a job with them wouldn't be so bad. Although the opportunity is unlikely, perhaps I wouldn't decline it.

As I usually find it these days, the house is empty and quiet. It's still early in the night for the racers, so they must be out at a race. I'm almost surprised there have been so many races, with the start of the Golden Rose Races approaching in just a couple of days—a trip I still need to pack for.

But I can leave that for tomorrow. Now that the adrenaline has died down, my body slushes through the hallway and up the stairs, exhausted. I forgot how big of a toll it took on my body to steal and run away from pursuers.
