Today was the first day of School at West Coast High School.

"TAVON! TAVON!"
Amari marching to his room bussing his door wide open.

"What Mari!!?"
He jumped up looking at her annoyed.

"Give me my fast charger! NOW"
She was holding out her hand...leaning on the door.

Tavon smacked his lips and continued to pack his bag. He snatched the charger out the wall and threw it at Amari.

"Bitch...don't throw my shit!"

"Imma tell ma you cursed too!"

"Okay? Like I won't tell her you was smoking weed with Connie the other day...ON THE PATIO!!"

Tavon eyes got big and clenched his jaw.
"You wouldn't tell her that shit... cause the times I covered for you for sneaking off wit-."

"BLAH BLAH SHUT UP NIGGA!" Amari said mimicking a talking hand walking away .

Amari went back to her room to get dressed for class. She only had one class today and that was American History.

Ugh this summer was such a drag...
Even though I didn't do shit, but got drunk and chilled . I couldn't even process on how fast summer went by now it's College and i'm not prepared for it.
This past summer I was hanging out with this guy named Eren Jager...He was so dreamy and FINE! We lost connection because he mysteriously fell in love with another girl... Anywho!

Amari got dressed and looked in the mirror fixing her necklace. She grabs her keys and purse and headed downstairs.

*in the kitchen*

"Oh yea...I told her ass not to be around that girl this past summer all she was doing was being a drunk..."

Before Amari was in the kitchen she over heard her mom talking about her. It hurt her feelings the way her mom was trying to call her an alcoholic when that was not the case.

I couldn't believe my mom was talking about me to her fake ass friends. That shit pissed me off !! I went into the kitchen loudly just so she can know that I heard her and grab a bottle of water . She looked at me like she didn't mean any harm . I walked out the door and slammed it.

Amari got in her car and cranked it.

*buzzzz*

She looked at her phone and it was her mom...

Mom: I didn't mean anything I said Mari. I was just joking ! Have a good day in school 🩷

She read the message and threw the phone on the seat. After, she backed out the driveway she was off to school.

I realized Tavon already left before me. He never wanted us to leave at the same time. When I was driving I couldn't get over how my mom was trying to call me an alcoholic... I'm not my fucking dad ! My parents are still together after so long, but they barely see eye to eye because of my dads alcoholic antics and my moms deceiving acts.

I never worry or dread on about my parents because they are adults and i don't get in their business! I'm going to have a good first day as long as i don't see-

When Amari pulled into the parking lot she seen a familiar face that she couldn't help, but glance .

Eren...

She snapped out of it and begin to back into the empty parking spot.

I grabbed my phone and texted my bestfriend Makayla.
