He receded from our kiss, a smile placed on his plump, pink lips. I feel his large hands roam my sides until landing on the small of my back, sending shivers where his fingers trace. By his actions, I knew he was okay with what I had previously told him. It would be difficult, but I knew he would be supportive.
For a long time, we just stood there, in the middle of the park with the bright streetlight shining on us. Suddenly, I felt a cold, wet, substance on my cheek. It was snowing. We let out a laugh and embrace the moment, it was picture perfect.
"Elisa?"
He startles me by using my first name.
"Yes?" I hesitantly ask.
His hands still rest on the lower part of my back and push me closer to him. My breath hitches in my throat as I brace myself for what he has to say.
He takes a deep breath and lets it out.
"I love you"
