'Solace'
"Just Play It Safe"
"So, this is where you dance?" asked Jungkook, being curious as he looked around the room. There wasn't much stuff, just a table, a large mirror wall and the floor wasn't that clean, dust could be seen here and there, and Jungkook worried he might get another asthmatic attack, as he kept his inhaler ready.
"Stand outside for a few minutes." said Eunwoo, and Jungkook obliged.
After a few minutes went by, he heard his friend calling him to come inside, entering the room again, he saw that the floor was much cleaner than before, Jungkook felt his heart warming up, he never had someone to care for him this much, and that too, they weren't that close.
"Have you danced before?" Eunwoo asked, wondering why the hell he trusted Jungkook, as far as he knows, people come and go, why was he behaving strangely.
Both the boys had the same thoughts,
Is this what friendship is?
"No" Jungkook replied as he searched for some songs to bring the vibe to the dance floor.
Soon the boys found an amazing song and played it.
First, Eunwoo danced, he wanted to show a lot and rant about himself to the younger one, but he was keeping his mouth shut.
As for Jungkook, he felt so different when Eunwoo started to dance, the music was depressing, and it felt really good to hear it, Jungkook never once saw Eunwoo smiling or talking much, he only saw the quiet boy, the cold- hearted stone who never gave a shit about anything, but on the dance floor, he changed, he transformed into something beautiful.
Something unexplainable,
Beauty mingled with pain,
Like snow upon blood
He saw how clear his skin looked, the sweat dripping down from his hair, into his forehead, those beads were so beautiful, his expression, his sway of the body, the rhythm, the music, the weather, the vibe, everything matched Eunwoo perfectly, and Jungkook had no words to describe his friend, he was mesmerized and found his friend to be perfect.
As for Eunwoo, this place was his comfort, his solace, whenever he needed to express his emotions, he would dance it away, the floor made him feel perfect for the time- being, the only time he appreciated himself was the time he would be on the dance floor, it made him feel the things his heart would tell, emotions, most of the people around called him emotionless, but only a person who faced the problem would understand the pain, it seemed to him that Jungkook could be trusted, crazy thing.
Soon, the music was over, as Eunwoo finished and sat down on the floor next to the boy who had his mouth open wide in amazement.
"Y-you dance so well!!!" exclaimed Jungkook.
"Thanks" replied Eunwoo, tired from the dancing.
"I noticed you have an inhaler, how did get asthma?" he asked, wanting to build a conversation
"Long story"
"I've got time to listen". Nobody ever told him that.
"When I was 9, I had once got high fever, way too high fever, and at that time my mother-" he paused, as nothing came out of his mouth, tears started running down his cheeks as he cursed at them.
Stupid tears, don't know when to come when not to.
"It's okay, tell me when you're comfortable" said Eunwoo, proceeding to hug the younger one as he felt bad for pricking at the sensitive topic.
Surprisingly the younger one hug him back, finding solace in his chest.
They two were broken souls, attached to their cages, trying to mend each other.
