When I enter the house it was cold and empty, though it looked like people were in it recently. I suddenly hear the noise of what sounded like a girl, yelling. I couldn't make out what she was yelling, the sound was muffled, but familiar.

I make my way towards noises. They lead me to a basement, the staircase leading to a closed door. I hear sobbing and a loud "Let's get out of here".

I knew this wasn't good. I open the door, now I know why the voice sounded so familiar. It was Ellie. I've seen her around Joel a lot, he talks about her. I only talked to her once but I knew we both saw Joel as a father figure. I started not liking her because I saw how close her and Joel were. I was scared he was going to stop being around me if he had Ellie.

I was about to go and comfort Ellie when my eyes caught something. A dead body. My heart sank. I knew that body build and signature jacket by heart. My eyes turned into a waterfall immediately.

"JOEL" Vivienne ran over to Joel sobbing. She held his face trying to get a reaction from him. "JOEL COME ON" She gave up when she got no reaction back. She rested her head on his chest, hearing no heart beat she started sobbing louder.

My friends Dina and Jessie came out of nowhere. "Oh god" Dina runs over to Ellie. The whole situation sickened me so bad I forgot Ellie was there from the start. Jessie comes up to me on the floor and simply hugs me. The hug did nothing, I could feel my emotions fading away, leaving me with the numb pain I used to feel at home.

Eventually Jessie got Vivienne onto the back of his horse and Dina and Ellie rode after them. The whole ride back to Jackson felt like a blur, Vivienne's heart was pounding and her breathing had exhilarated. She took a glance at Ellie and she didn't look any better. Her tears froze her face from the cold air around and the more time passed, the more pain she felt inside.
