You know those girls in tv shows and books, the ones who are badasses, they can take a punch and have that spitfire attitude that constantly has them getting into trouble and attracts the attention of every male in their vicinity? Yeah, that was definitely not me. And of course you know the opposite of those girls, the ones who are delicate, and so innocent that everyone seems to fawn over them, and also happen to be the permanente damsel in distress? Yeah, that also, was not me.
But when vampires decided to return to the quiet town of Angola, New York, everything changed. I was no longer the normal girl with normal friends. Bad things started happening around me, to not just myself but the people I loved and cared about. My personality started to harden and my life sometimes became a toy others played with. I became the badass girl who could handle a punch, but also simultaneously the damsel who needed rescuing.
