Meanwhile with Kara...

Kara was decided to be paired alone with Hinoto, who didn't mind in all honesty. The two were going to also try and take down people while reach for the artifact, somehow. They moved elegantly through the bushes, their eyes peeled for anything.

The only audible sound at the moment were the sounds of their footsteps on the grass, as they advanced through the forest. Kara's eyes looked around, and she could swear she can feel the sound of her heart beats pounding against her chest.

After a while of searching, Hinoto grabbed Kara's wrist and pulled her down, as he plastered his index finger to his lips, motioning for her to stay silent, and she obliged, awaiting whatever's bound to happen. Vines sprouted from above them and stretched into the way.

Vines...? Kara thought, raising an eyebrow. They must be dealing with a vine element user if that's the case. Kara's element was pretty powerful, so she felt confident to put up a fight. She slowly stretched her hand up and pressed against it with her element activated.

The vines burst and cut open as large orange circular thin waves emitted from them, to represent sound waves. Hinoto stayed quiet as the vines erupted from below them, causing Hinoto to kick Kara out of harm's way and push himself back.

The vine retreated back in soon, as Kara rolled on the ground out of the bush. She propelled herself into a battle stance and glanced around quickly. Hah... where are these vines coming from?

Hinoto soon jumped up to be with her, as he panted. He seemed to have had a tad bit of trouble with the vines. Their eyes scanned the area like hawks for the source of these vines, and again, another large one sprouted quicker than the last.

It shot Kara into the air, while Hinoto got time to dodge. Is it targeting her? He thought, as Kara used her hands again to release herself, as she fell right onto the ground, groaning as she sat up in a kneeling position.

"We got to go on a wild goose hunt to find out whoever's causing all this, huh?" She said in an annoyed tone, as Hinoto searched as much as he could while being attentive. "Guess that's our case, what're we doing then for a start?" He asked.

"Maybe from there." She pointed East to where they were positioned. "Many of the vines shot opposing to that direction, and it could possibly be North-East too." She explained. Hinoto began moving quickly in that direction with Kara tailing behind him.

They ran down the open pathways they found, as Hinoto kept leading them both forward. After a while of running around endlessly, they finally got attacked by the same vines again, except the amount tripled, and got more aggressive.

Three thick large vines sprouted out of the ground, and tried to capture the two, which failed, since Kara used her sound element to defend herself, and Hinoto used his Flare element to destroy them. After that, they kept their guard up even higher.

"This person has us wrapped around their fingers." Hinoto breathed, as Kara nodded agreeingly. A loud voice giggled, as vines sprouted from up, wrapping around Hinoto's upper arms and pulling him up. His eyes met with the culprit's.

The person had green skin, dark green hair and eyes. The person wore a green kimono which was oversized by the sleeves, with their legs easily showing all they way up, as the kimono dangled from the side.

They didn't seem to have a belt on. Their hair was fluffy and spiky, like Kyo's hair, with two ponytails sticking out. "I sure do!" The voice said, confirming it to possibly be a male. Before Hinoto can use his fingers to release flare shots, the vines wrapped around them closely.

"My, learn not to expose yourself to the enemy so quickly~!" He cooed, as he glanced at Kara. Hinoto helplessly tried to break free against the thick layers of vines cuffing his hands together. "Quit trying, nobody can cut through my Vine Cuffs so easily!" He giggled.

"An Azure Academy student? Points are on your head! I'll definitely bring you back!" He said energetically, as he held his hand up and opened his hand wide, and vines came out from behind Kara, giving her little time to dodge.

She luckily rolled to the side in time before it caught her, and this angered the male a bit, before he used hand gestures to sprout more vines, which should go after Kara. The girl did a few back walkovers to dodge the vines.

She stabled herself, holding out her hands to prepare herself incase more attacks struck. The male soon appeared behind her, holding out his leg to kick her from behind, before she turned around and bent backwards.

The male's leg didn't make contact, but she used her fingers to open a wound on his thigh, which caused him to release a massive screech. He fell to the ground, propelling himself as his hand ran over his bloody new wound.

Kara moved her hand in the air to remove as much blood as she could, before forming her hands into angry fists, preparing to attack him once more. He must be alone, so she'll just have to knock him out and she'll be good.

Deliver lethal blows, Kara! It should be enough to knock him out! She thought, glancing at Hinoto who kept trying to free his wrists, which hurt due to the friction he caused with them. The vine person stood up, holding out his hands.

"How about we start with introductions! My name's Chlorophyll, what's your name, guardian?" He asked, as Kara raised an eyebrow at the name choice. "Echo Blast," she said, as she released large circular waves with a diameter of 1.6 meters.

The waves shot at Chlorophyll, who shot up two vines to defend himself, but to avail, Kara's sound waves were strong enough to break through and push him back. She rushed to help Hinoto, who seemed to have done some progress.

"Hinoto!" She called, hopping up the branches to reach him, before a vine wrapped around her ankle and yanked her to a tree, causing her to scream with pain, as she clutched her sides. Chlorophyll hummed excitedly at how this was turning out, as he held onto a tree.
