The royal

A girl leaned against a balcony overlooking a dark and vast forest that stretched for miles all around. The trees rose far above the balcony and the rest of the colossal building that rested between these trees was like a nest. The girl's hair dropped down to her back its bright green hue popping out among the rest of her outfit her black jacket along with her plain crimson shirt. She tapped on the railings along the balcony a metallic ringing echoing out.

From the other side of the room, a knock rang out from the door a voice on the other side calling out to her
"Suika, are you in there?" A woman's voice travelled under the door towards Suika.
"Yeah, I'm here." She walked off the balcony and back into the room passing by shelves filled with figures and walls covered in posters until she got to the door. She opened it greeted by the dull greys of the hallway. In front of her was a woman with fluffy pink hair with strands of it coming off. She was holding something wrapped up in cloth.
"So remember a few years back when you and your brother were sent to Ceran to gather those weapons and that other classified thing?" The woman asked as she handed over the cloth. "We finally managed to   figure out how they work."
Suika unwrapped the cloth inside where two metal bracers were. She put them onto her arms as they clamped onto her.
"So what are these?" Suika queried as she moved her arms out.
"Hold out your arms and push that button it should be there" the woman pointed at a button that was within reach of her thumb. Suika stretched out her thumb as she pushed on the button. The woman stepped back as a glowing beam shot out of the bracers the light crackling as it sharpened into a point. The red glow lit up Suika and submerged the room into a deep red light. Suika was stunned as she looked at the plasma spikes shooting out.
"They look good don't they, dangerous too." The woman complimented her work. "Took me and the rest of the team a while to get that done and make good use of  them."
"Uh, I'll try to use them," Suika said unsure of herself.
"That's the spirit have fun with them!" The woman shouted down the hallway.
"Thanks, Liana!" Suika shouted down the hall.

Suika began to swing around the spikes. She went over to her bed took a piece of her thick duvet and cut through it a burning smell trailing off the corner piece that now lay on the floor. She continued swinging them around her room and with the final swing, she faced her door which was once again open. She turned off the spikes as she looked at the boy in the door frame. She wore armour that covered every aspect of his body apart from his head. He had short brown hair that cut off around the back of his neck and was swept over to the left. A sword rested in a scabbard attached to a belt.
"So you did decide to go with those weapons." The boy rolled his eyes. "So untraditional."
"Hello, Arthur." Suika took off her bracers. "What are you here for, just to criticise me?" Suika scowled.
"Partially but Father had also requested us he sent me to get you," Arthur spoke with a refined accent as he walked out the doorframe and down the hallway.

Suika walked out soon after closing the door locking away one of the few specs of life within the dull fortress she and many others called their home. She walked to the end of the hallway passing by many other doors that led to her comrade's quarters. At the end of the hallway, a pair of doors opened up as a small crowd came out. Suika walked through each of them moving out of her path. She got to the elevator stepping inside as the doors slid shut again. Suika pressed a button labelled B2. The elevator began to descend the hum of the metal weight pushing down the box Suika was in. For a few minutes, the hum was the only sound until the elevator made a sudden stop as the doors opened up once more.

Suika was met with a room with photos hanging from the wall and a large door at the back guarded by two people clad in metal armour spears in hand. Suika walked out of the elevator towards the door the two guards pushed open the large doors and held them open.
"This way, your highness." The voices were somewhat muffled by the helmets.
"Thank you." Suika walked passed as the two guards bowed and closed the door.

Ahead of Suika was a long hallway stretching out towards a pedestal with a throne resting atop it. A lengthy carpet was spread out on the floor stretching from suika to the throne. Arthur was already at the end of the hallway facing their father. Suika walked along the carpet its crimson interior surrounded by a golden trim. Suits of armour-wielding spears rested atop pedestals towering over Suika all along the walls of the glorified hallway.

Suika reached the end of the hallway as the suits of armour transitioned into actual people wearing the armour.
"Took you long enough," Arthur commented with a snarky air to him. Suika glared at him before bowing.
"Greetings father." Her previous attitude had dissipated now replaced with a tone full of respect. The man stood up he too was covered in thick metal armour. He had broad shoulders that were even larger from the armour. His legs and arms were thick and heavy they too were clad with armour along with his torso. His mouth was covered by a metallic mask connected to a tank on his back.
"Greeting my children." His voice was deep with a metallic undertone to it.
"I see you have gone with the new weapons" He looked over and Suika's bracers. "Disappointing I was hoping my blood would wish to stay traditional." He then looked back over to Arthur. "At least you stuck to them, Arthur." Arthur had a sense of pride over him along with a new thing he could hold over Suika's head.
"Now then, with those weapons finally being done we can arm the rest of our members and soon we can carry out our plan and take back what was rightfully ours from all those years ago. This is our destiny." The man began to speak about their right and destiny a topic that Suika, Arthur and everyone else had heard all too often now.
"There is still some work to be done before we can execute this plan so for now you two shall be performing the final tasks we need done."
Arthur and Suika bowed at the command.
"Arthur you shall be assisting with the training and you,  Suika I am sending you and Liana to scout out the area and once you are done with that we can take action. Understood."
"Yes, father." The two said in unison as they bowed and left.

The ride in the elevator was silent an unnatural feel in the air different from the usual feel these two had while in the same room.
"So we're almost ready?" Suika asked breaking up the silence.
"It seems we are it does feel weird doesn't it," Arthur spoke back. The elevator door opened towards the first floor of the quarters.
"Good luck with the training, brother I'm going to collect Liana." Suika walked out as the door closed behind her with no response from Arthur.

Suika walked down the hallway passing by the same doors she did every other day until she got to the very end taking a left towards another door. The door was much larger than the ones beforehand. She pressed her hand against a pad that rested on the wall next to the door as it scanned her hand before the door made a clicking noise. Suika pushed her hand against the door as she went through and closed it soon after. Another hallway laid ahead of her this one much smaller with only 10 doors 5 on each side. She once more went down this hallway stopping at the room next to her own that was at the very end.

She knocked on the door hearing some shuffling on the other side before it opened. The pink-haired woman from before, Liana, opened the door.
"Suika, how are you doing need any help with the bracers?." Liana asked leaning against the door frame.
"No no, they're fine great actually." She complimented Liana's work getting off track momentarily. "I came here because of my father." Her tone lowered after his mention.
"What does Eversio want?" Liana spoke calmly
"Don't forget his title, Liana!" Suika spoke with worry.
"Don't worry he's not here no need to add the king." She rolled her eyes. "And I know you won't snitch." She chuckled as she kicked herself off the doorframe
"So what is it that we need to do exactly?" She asked walking past Suika and into the hallway.
"We need to head over to Nimbus. We're scouting out the area." Suika said as she followed Liana down the hallway.

The doors slid open as the two stepped in the elevator soon descending to the first floor. The lobby room was mostly empty only one person walked through the room towards the now-empty elevator. Suika and Liana walked towards the doors at the end of the room unlike the rest of the doors this one was less extravagant the door was shorter than the rest and was pretty much just a slab of wood.

The two went outside as the dark forest surrounded them. The minimal safety that was felt within the castle faded away the further they went. The forest only grew darker the deeper into it they went their only company being each other and any animals that occasionally ran by them and soon enough running away when they saw them.
