The Dance: Part 1

*3 days later*

Carlos Pov

I was in my dorm humming and Jay was flopped on his bed and was mopping. I rolled my eyes and was looking for things to wear for the dance. The dance was today and I had nothing prepared. 

"Jay can you help me pick out a suit for the dance." I said still looking in my closet

"Bro I'm not going." Jay said

"Why?" I asked

"Well Mal and Ben are practically together again I might as well just let it be." He said sadly

"No! You're not gonna let him win." I said coming closer to him

"Look you gotta make her jealous, so she'll want you and leave Ben. There're plenty of girls you can ask out." I finished

"You're right." He said getting up

"Lets find some outfits." He said looking in my closet

"Damn we look sharp." I said

We fist-bumped and we continued to get ready for the dance. I couldn't help but think how the girls were doing. I couldn't wait to see Evie. Especially since I have something special for her tonight.

Evie's Pov

Me and Mal were picking out different dresses until I remembered that I designed some for us.

"Mal." I said

"What. I'm trying to look for a dress." She said

"Well I got them. I forgot I designed dresses just for us." I squealing

Mal giggled and I showed her the dresses.

We went out and looked at ourselves in the mirror. We squealed and we started to apply makeup to get completely ready for the dance. I really want to see Carlos in his tux hoping that he is wearing one. I chuckled to myself. We left our dorm and went to the dance where Carlos and everyone was waiting for us.

*At the dance*

Me and Mal arrived and I looked at everyone. It looked amazing so who ever designed this, just incredible. I saw Carlos and Jay and they walked up to us but Carlos elbowed Jay's shoulder as if he was telling him something. Jay made the "O" face and walked away. 

"Hey ladies." Carlos said

He looked at me and his eyes widened. I giggled at his face.

"Wow. You look spectacular... no breathtaking." He sighed and took a deep breath putting his hands on his cheek.

Me and Mal laughed. I kissed his cheek and caressed it. I looked at Carlos' outfit and wow he looked good. He does clean his self up nicely.

"You look-I mean, amazing." I said and he took my hand

"Man I don't deserve you." He said laughing 

Carlos ran with me in my hand and we went to get some drinks. I looked around and saw a lot of people dancing, laughing and playing games. I looked back and saw that Mal disappeared but to where. Definitely not with Ben and Jay, so probably with friends.

*2 hours later* 

I was having the time of my life just dancing, laughing and hanging out with Carlos. The music then slowed down and so did we. Everyone including me and Carlos were slow dancing, looking in each others eyes. I was surprised he's such a good dancer. The music stopped but we still remained as we were and looked into each others not looking away. Our lips were inches away but we looked away when we heard someone speak in the mic. Carlos smiled, he let go of my hand.

"Be right back princess." He said and ran up to the stage. I glared at him, confused

Carlos ran got up to the stage and grabbed the mic. Mal came back and elbowed me.

"Hey what's he doing." Mal asked

"Ow, and I don't know." I said still rubbing my arm

"Hey y'all. I wanted to get the chance at surprising a very special girl." He said and looked at me. I blushed.

"You know who you are. You're really special to me, I already told you that but I wanted to show too." He said
