Stories @ Radiant Stem Academy

When it comes to sharing stories or events at Radiant Stem Academy two of them pop out pretty quickly:

1. When covid happened, it changed the way we went to school. We used zoom for our classes, zoom was a new technology and had a lot of technical difficulties. It took us a long time to try and get familiarized with the technology and understand the teachers what they were saying. As a kid going to school getting up in the morning getting ready and to go meet our friends makes the biggest part of our day, and COVID pretty much took that away from us. It was not fun one bit. Not only did we not understand half the time what the teacher was saying, we couldn't even mingle with the friends like we normally do. Staying in pajamas sitting in front of the computer may sound interesting, for a little while but to do that day in and day out was not fun at all. Covid had a sad year at Radiant Stem Academy. Finally when we did return to the campus ground, masks, and sanitizers took over the whole life, like literally! It was suffocating.

2. One of my best memories is in the 2nd grade when we were tasked to raise funds for kids in Syria for education. I remember my mom and dad helped me make the video to raise funds. See link below. I was eventually able to raise $4100. For a 2nd grader, I think that was a pretty good feat. I was announced in the assembly and received a gift from Sister Mazida. I felt like a high achiever 😊.
