Chapter 7: We find a satyr path

Y/n's POV:

I'm standing in a store and 'Gods, I've never seen so much sweets in my entire life. Which is logic but still. What would it taste like? It looks good, it smells good. But I told them chips and soda so I'm only getting chips and soda... Okay one other thing won't hurt right? Okay, choose one. How hard could it be?'

I first grab some cookies with blue frosting, and then some candy and then chips and apple juice, soda, more candy, cookies, lolly's... I can't stop, okay, I never had this stuff in my life.

I place it all down at the cash register and the cashier looks weird at me. 'Okay then look at me like I'm some addicted weirdo. Who cares? I'm not the one who's missing out.'

I pay but then a woman walks by and something doesn't feel right about her. I look at her and that's the moment I have a tingly feeling again and realize she isn't normal...She's a furie. 'Really? Now? Couldn't have picked another moment and let a girl enjoy her food??'

I quickly walk into the bus with my bag but then stop and turn around. I put my cap on to turn invisible. I sit next to her and I know she sensed me. "If you guys were better at your job, I might not have noticed you here so easily." I told the furie.

"We both know you still would. And we both know why." Alecto replies. "I've changed." I say. "Maybe so, maybe so...Either way, now you make it seem you're exactly the way you show you are, which you're not." She says.

"Why are you here?" I ask, changing the subject. "I'm here to collect your friend." she answers. I wanted to tell her he's not my friend but it doesn't seem like the best moment for that. "For what?" I ask her. "Oh, I don't question orders. 'Bring him in, quick and quiet.' That is what I was told." She tells me.

"And you know. Now I said it out loud, you seem like the perfect person to do the job even better than told. Lure him off this bus so I can take him quietly away from so many eyes, and your quest goes on unimpeded and unburdened. Plus, if you do it...I could...help you completly forget your past. I know a way, and you'll live in peace, you'll never have to worry about anything anymore, you don't have to fear anything anymore...you'll be free." she offers. I freeze at her words.

'Free? I'venever thiught about that word in comparisonwith me. It'severything I'veever wanted. But I couldn't do this, how much I want what she'll give me. I've been chosen on this quest. This is my mission, I can't fail.'

So I walk away. When I get back to Annabeth, Grover and Percy I take my cap off. "Guys open that window, now!" I command Grover and Percy. "I don't think these windows are supposed to-Oh no" Grover says, seeing Alecto. Annabeth, Grover and Percy stand up and run to the window.

"Go, go, go ,go ,go!" Grover yells. They finally manage to push it open but the alarm goes off. "Everyone, leave your belongings and exit the front of the bus." The bus driver instructs. Alecto tried to get to you, but she gets blocked by a man.

"Y/n let's go!" Percy exclaims at me and I just look at him and he sees me hesitating. He frowns at me and shakes his head no but then I look out the window and see Alecto's sister flying into the bus.

Grover, Annabeth and Percy back away. "Hey!" I yell so the monster turns around. Then I throw my dagger at her, making her turn into dust.. "We're done here. Let's go." Annabeth commands. They all jump out the window except Percy who turns to look at me.
