Rin woke up to a thump.

He shot up like an arrow from a bow, only to find that he was in some form of shelter. His eyes darted around the room and he stood up from the soft blanketed chair that was next to a small lit firrplace.

He looked down at his tail, which was clothed heavily and realised that he was cleaner then he was the night prior. The skinny boy lifted his tail up and started to unravel the cloth until he heard a voice.

"Hello there, de-dear!"

Rin screamed hearing the voice, ducking down behind the chair, tail caught under his boot. Heart thumping he prepared for the worse, he gripped his head in a hunching positon as his whole body shoke.

Rin felt a hand touch him and he recoiled from the person's seemingly gentle touch.

A thought repeated itself over and over in his head.
"I'm dead."

Rin looked up at the man for a mere second, but his hood clothed most of his would be noticeable features

"Who are you? How did you find me? Why didn't you just let me die?? I had a thing going, I didn't want to live!"

The man stood back up, backing away. Rin could hear the footsteps back away as tears rolled down his face.

"I found you n-nearby and I couldn't bare you to see you in such a blight, I-I took you in and cleaned you up and helped your wounds. I-I'm awfully sorry if I woke y-you or startled you, b-but I mean no harm to y-you.. I promise dear. P-please forgive me."

His voice was sweet like nectar, but his words were so cold to Rin's heart. He didn't want to go on, and he knew this man meant all well, but he couldn't help but think Lord Pheniox himself arranged this fate for him to exist in such a terrible state. That is, if he even existed in the first place.

Rin mustered his courage and stood up, legs being no better then jelly. He crossed his arms on his chest, his arm clutched in his grip.

The first thing that took Rin aback was the man's staggering height. He was two heads above him, body thick and ham fists. If he wanted to he could easily kill Rin with one blow. But despite his seemingly harsh nature he was like a bunny-soft and sweet.

The man placed a hand on Rin's shoulder, kneeling down a little to be face to face with the tinier male. He cringed at the touch first, as if his fingertips were pricked with venmon, but he then relaxed his tension.

"Oh! Honey did I-I touch a pain spot?" He blurted with concern ringing through his dialect, pudgy face studying where his hand was.

"Nono..yo-you're fine..uhm." Rin awkwardly spat out random words, not knowing exactly how to speak to the man.

Instead of talking he studied the man's face. His eyes were big and blue, the color of a clear lake. His cheeks were redden upon his tanned skin, his slightly agaped mouth open to show crooked teeth like a Trionic man.

"You okay doll?" The man said, snapping to catch Rin's guard. Recoiling away from his tug he gave a nervous laugh. He didn't want to screw up this fast

A hood was tightly tied over his head, barely letting slips of his brown hair fall in his face.

"Where's my hood?"
Rin then realised his own hood was down, and he went to touch his ears. They twitched and he pulled away from the touch with ease.

All of Rin's wolf parts were free and in the open. And this man, the man who willingly washed and bandaged him, sheltered him and was willing to provid food, knew it.

"Hon? You alright?"

Rin started to shake again, the thoughts and possiblities flying through his conscious, hugging himself as LT's words were drained out.

He managed to let out a soft sigh, and looked back up to LT, trying not to cry in front of him. He knew that he was stronger then to do that. He would just reveal just how weak he was.

LT seemed to not be phased by his paethic excuse for a.coverup, looking more concerned then ever before, looking at Rin directly in his eyes.

"W-what's your name, doll?" LT said, trying to diverse the conversation then the obvious. It was strange-- never before has someone completely ignored his half-breed blood like this.

"Rin. Rin Lee Waters. And yourself?"

The man smiled, fiddling with his thumbs and looking back down.

"They call me L-LT."

After the statement, LT gave a soft chuckle, eyes drawing to Rin's tail. "How's your tail?" Rin swung it a bit, grimacing at the pain that stung through his body.

"You poor t-thing! Sit down for a 'lil, get some more rest if y-you need it, breakfast will be done soon." Rin sat back down, obeying his orders, and balled up.

"Thank you again..LT."

He tracked his movement as he headed back to the kitchen. He heard some clutter and a few pans drop, but from LT's chuckles that trailed off he knew all was well. When the oaf snapped back, he replied back to Rin.

"No need to thank! I just did t-the humane thing, Rin!" He called, voice giving a soft echo throughout the decently sized home.

With that, Rin closed his eyes, trying to loosen his guard with the man. He saved him, why shouldn't he trust him? He didn't seem harmful, at least. He was a big hearted boy with a big stomach to match, he couldn't possibly hurt him. But alas he still had one eye open and one hand on his blade, just in case.

His words of humame haunted his mind. It was strange that someone who was obvouisly not human, maybe a a Dire man or experiment gone missing, was saying such words. Maybe he was just too kind for his own well being, or maybe something sinster was going to occur.

Either way, Rin wouldn't know. All he knew was that right now he had somewhere to stay where he was being treated better then he ever was before in his life, and he wasn't going to walk out just yet.
