Window spying

It's midnight, and I've just finished my homework. I decided to call my friend, whom I have known since 5th grade. He and I do almost everything together, and honestly, I can't even remember how we became friends, but I genuinely love him to death.

"Hey Mia, just the person I wanted to see," He answered. "Hey, Haden"

"How is the party going?" I asked. He was never a big fan of his mom, really and honestly. Truthfully, he and I are the same; my dad left me, and his mom always left and came back like it was nothing.

"She drunk again.." He sighed.

"You wanna come over?" I said, "No, someone has to care for the little ones. Just send me some prayers." He soft laughed.

"I understand. Let me know if you need anything, Haden, okay?" I said, worried.

He always loved his sisters; he would do anything to protect them. I get worried when there's too much stress on him because his shiny mom and dad are always at work.

"I know I see you tomorrow. love you," He said

"Hate you more kisses," I said before making a kiss sound, then hung up.

I feel so bad...

I decided that it was getting late, so I got up to close my window when I saw a tall figure across it.

It was my crush. I have had feelings for him since 8th grade, and you may be wondering why you didn't ask him out by then. Well, at the time, I was dating someone who cheated on me, and after that, I never saw him until 10 grade when he had one of my classes. Now that I'm single and we are very close, somehow, those feelings never disappeared.

The window was open, and he listened to "Last Man Standing by Boofpaxkmooky." I recognized that song because Haden and I used to play it last year in the car.

He was smoking a blunt with no shirt on. He always looked sexy with his dark skin tones, and our house was next door, but you could tell he had just gotten out of the shower due to the towel covering his lower body and his hair being wet.

I could feel butterflies in my stomach, and my eyes couldn't look away. I was leaning on the window, forgetting it was unlocked, and opened a bit, when suddenly, one side of the window opened all the way, hitting the title and making a loud noise.

"Oh, Shit!" I said realizing what I just did I duck down hoping he didn't see me.

"You know you're not good at hiding," He said

"H-hi Josh," I said, slowly coming up

"Were you spying on me just now?" Josh said, giving me a look

"No..." I said while trying to come up with a lie, "I was trying to close my window when I dropped something. Yeah, I dropped something on the ground."

He looked down, and I then even more embarrassed by saying that

"I don't see nothing, spider girl," He said

I remember that name when I was in my first year of high school. It was a giant spider on the ground.

Everyone was scared of it but me, so I took the spider home with my hands after school. Some popular girl said I'm Spider Woman, and I'm going to die from that poisoned spider, but it was never poisonous.

"I don't remember you being there freshman year," I said while looking at him.

"Oh, I was. I was mostly quiet, so no one ever noticed me," Josh said. "Anyway, if you wanted to look at my body, you could've just asked."
