"Name?"

"Nash Grier," Cameron answers for Nash. It might seem that Cameron is a control freak that doesn't allow his boyfriend to speak for himself but the two of them know the truth and that's the only thing that matters to them.

"Major?"

"Chemical Engineering." Cameron replies and the woman behind the desk pauses when Cameron answers once again. Nash had signed in but Cameron answers the questions. He doesn't talk to anyone but Cameron, he doesn't even talk to his family. In fact, he told Cameron not to tell anyone including his mother. Even the thought of talking to anyone but Cameron gives him severe anxiety. Being forced to talk will definitely lead to a meltdown and Nash knows if she knew his mother would pressure him into talking to her just because she would want to hear his voice.

"You're going to need to allow Mr. Grier to answer," she states shortly and with an annoyed tone of voice. Her facial expression shows what she's thinking, her eyes trail over the tattoos on Cameron's arms and they flicker towards Nash who has a wholesome look. Cameron knows she's questioning why Nash is with him, he does not allow himself to get worked up because her opinion doesn't matter at all.

Cameron rolls his eyes. "He's fine with me answering, we're living together."

"And your name?" She asks in a snotty tone.

"Cameron Dallas." He states and he just wants the check in process to be over and done with so that they can move into their student apartments. Neither of them wanted to live in dorm rooms mainly because the bathrooms are shared with everyone on the floor and they would be under the eye of an RA, living in an apartment gives them more freedom to do whatever the hell they want.

"Major?"

"Chemical Engineering." He states and smirks as her eyes widen slightly, maybe she expected him to say something like general studies or art. He knows that people assume he's stupid or maybe part of a gang because of his tattoos. He doesn't hide them because he's not ashamed of him. They're an important part of him, they each mean something so special to him, especially the one he has over his heart.

"I'll need to see your ID," she says because she doubts his answers. She thinks he's not a student at all and that he's just lying. Cameron laughs softly as he hands her his ID. She doesn't have the decency to look chagrin after verifying his major, she just continues typing in the information.

They feel relief when she hands over the keys and they're able to move in. They work quickly to move in and once they're done they collapse on the bed.

"God, I feel so relieved to be out of my mom's house. She was stifling me so much because she didn't want me to move out," Nash says softly as he cuddles on Cameron's bare chest. He traces the tattoo with his name tenderly.

"It's like she thought you wouldn't be able to stand on your own two feet and you absolutely can baby," Cameron says. He's given Nash more confidence in himself, Nash no longer believes that he needs his mom there for everything. Cameron has taught him so much in the time they've been together so he knows for certain that Cameron will not abandon him even during the hardest of times.

Elizabeth tried again to convince Nash otherwise, the closer they got to the day when they would drive across the country, the more she tried to convince Nash that he needed to stay close to home. She cried profusely when they said their goodbyes and begged Nash to stay but Nash kissed her goodbye and got into Cameron's car.

Nash looks up at him with those trusting blue eyes and Cameron falls in love all over again.

They cuddle until it's time to attend the freshmen orientation and the icebreakers are awkward , Cameron has no interest in participating although Nash is engaged. Cameron was his first true friend and now his boyfriend. He wants to make friends of his own, he hopes that he'll find students who are not as judgmental as they are in high school. He told Cameron his desire to have friends on their drive to California and Cameron assured him that he would. He grits his teeth and accompanies Nash to the icebreaker activities because he knows it's important to Nash. Nash doesn't really click with anyone and as they head back he's a little disappointed but he knows there will be more opportunities to make friends.
