chapter 4:time skip. mission to wave country.

Naruto's first high-ranked mission had been assigned to him. The mission was to escort a bridge builder from Wave Country named Tazuna to finish his bridge. But Naruto suspected that there was more to the mission than was told.

To Naruto, something didn't feel right.
The client was hiding some important details that he felt made this mission a higher-ranked one than a C-rank mission. And he was correct.

Not long into their journey, Naruto's senses were heightened at all times.
He then used his chakra threads and discreetly dropped them into a puddle that was a genjutsu set to ambush the client and his guards but they didn't expect Naruto to sense them.

The demon Brothers of the mist were then pulled out of their genjutsu by Naruto once far enough away.

The demon Brothers then struck not team 7 but each other with their poisoned gauntlet and feared for their lives as one of them said.

"HOW DID YOU KNOW WE USED GENJUTSU TO HIDE OURSELVES!!??.
IT SHOULD NOT BE POSSIBLE!!!."

And Naruto said.

"If you're going to use poison on your weapon, don't make the scent so obvious. And don't use such lethal doses.

Plus I was trained how to detect genjutsu at a very young age. Now we could do this the easy way, or the hard way.

The easy way is you're going to tell us who your target is who hired you and who you work for OR, my personal favorite, the hard way. Where the poison slowly kills you and you die after you give up the information we want."

Kakashi then said.

"Nice going Naruto. Your bloodline sensory skills come in handy.

A sensory bloodline skill passed down through the Uzumaki clan and stronger perception skills than any dojutsu it can see for dozens of miles detect and even identify chakra and changes to it such as the nature type and if a genjutsu is disrupting it or themselves in any way."

Naruto tightened his grip on the demon Brothers with his chakra threads and said.

"INFORMATION NOW!!!."

And one of the demon brothers said.

"ALL RIGHT ALL RIGHT WE WERE HIRED BY THE SHIPPING TYRANT GATO TO KILL THE BRIDGE BUILDER FOR A LARGE BOUNTY AFTER IT WAS DONE!!!.

HE ALSO HIRED ZABUZA MOMOCHI OF THE MIST VILLAGE 7 MIST SWORDSMAN FOR THE SAME JOB SHOULD WE HAVE FAILED!!!.

HE HAS A MASKED ACCOMPLICE WHO NEVER SHOWS THEIR FACE AND POSE AS A MIST HUNTER NINJA!!!. THAT IS ALL WE KNOW I SWEAR PLEASE DON'T KILL US IT WAS JUST A JOB!!!."

And Naruto said.

"Yeah. A job you poorly picked without proper information on your targets guards and skills. Thank you though.

You've been very helpful in this mission.
I'll make your deaths quick and easy."

Naruto then added wind chakra to his chakra threads and sliced off all the demon brothers' limbs and heads.

He then took their gauntlets by picking them up with a rag and safety gloves and sealed them away in a scroll.

He would later identify the poison they were going to use after the mission was completed and he could get Tsunade to identify what kind of poison it was.

Naruto's investigation a year ago at the Uchiha clan district revealed what he'd suspected was true. There was another person there that assisted in the massacre of the entire clan.
