As Ciana and Elijah faced each other, Ciana couldn't shake the feeling of doubtfulness, her heart aching at the realization that their once strong and faithful relationship was now unsure. She looked at Elijah's eyes searching for reassurance, but found nothing, all she saw was the pain at his eyes and in that moment, as the silence stretched between them like a deep gap, Ciana knew that their love was facing its greatest test.
The room was filled with silence and I couldn't look away from him. Then, breaking the silence.
He finally spoke....
"THAT WAS IN THE PAST ALREADY! I WAS THERE! BUT I DID NOTHING!" Elijah confessed, he almost shouted, his voice was drawn with pain. Each word felt like a heavy burden, as if he knew that Ciana would soon slip away from him.
Tears streamed down Ciana's cheeks, her heart heavy with the weight of Elijah's confession. She felt a wave of pain and betrayal, struggling to make sense of the strong emotions inside her.
"I... was there... but I only stood on the sidelines... I couldn't do anything... I couldn't move.... Elijah's confession hung in the air like a heavy fog, thick with raw emotion and unspoken truths. Elijah's voice sounded as if he was begging for you to believe him.
Ciana couldn't utter a word. She simply gazed at Elijah, her heart shattered into a million pieces. It felt as though he had forgotten just how deeply she loved him, until this painful moment.
"I..." His voice faltered, cracking with pain as he wrestled to express himself. After a moment of gathering his thoughts, he summoned the bravery to voice his feelings.
"I was scared... scared that if you knew about my past, you'd walk away... I couldn't bring myself to tell you..." his voice barely above a whisper. His eyes, was filled with tears he held back. Each word seemed to be a struggle.
Ciana's heart tightened as Elijah made his confession, her own feelings swirling in confusion. She never thought this moment would come to break apart their bond, to tear it apart with just one unfaithful confession.
"Speak to me please...", Elijah pleaded, his voice trembling with desperation. "Stop looking at me like that..." His tears flowed freely down his cheeks. "I-I'm struggling here... If you won't talk to me, I don't know how to... to..." his voice breaks while talking to Ciana, he lost hope.
"I understand you're feeling pain at this moment, but hurting you was never my intention," he murmured softly, his words barely reaching her ears in the quiet of the room.
"But you did," Ciana thought to herself, her inner voice echoing the chaos swirling within. "You weren't truthful... you broke my trust... you caused me pain." She couldn't bring herself to speak the words aloud, the pain too raw, too overwhelming. Each syllable felt like a knife twisting in her heart, a reminder of the trust that had been shattered.
"The truth is," Elijah began softly, his eyes fixed on Ciana's gaze filled with hatred, "I never intended to cause you pain." He spoke with a gentle tone, hoping to convey the sincerity of his words.
