A wave of suspicion hit me as Hera introduced herself. When a God or Goddess appeared in front of you just in time to save you they definitely want something. Something dangerous, that gets you killed half the goddamn time.
"Y/N, darling, eat.", Hera urged with the fakest smile I've ever seen.
"I'm not hungry.",I said flatly glaring at her
Hera turned away and began chatting with Annabeth and I started zoning out. After a few minutes I felt a set eyes staring at me. I snapped my eyes open and lifted my head to see Percy staring right back. We shared eye contact for a very awkward moment.
"So, uh,you missed another last summer...," He said,trying and failing to make conversation.
"Yeah, I know..."I turned my gaze to the murals again knowing that he was referring to Nico but I didn't want to talk about him.
I think he took the hint because he also turned away and began chatting with Grover and Tyson. Not even five fucking minutes passed before sudden blast of white light flashed through the room causing me to tip backwards out of my chair with a 'Holy shit!'. Hera was gone and Annabeth looked furious.
