P.O.V : Claire Hampton
Time: 11:17 A.M.
Days since the Parkers have gone missing: 2
I just start to walk in when questioning is over. I'm shocked to see the detective in a loss for words. What did Emily do? Finally the detective speaks up.
" If I'm being honest, the longer they're gone, the harder it is to keep them alive. Plus we don't even know what these guys motives are yet. I'm sorry if that's not what you wanted to hear, but I will try my hardest to get your parents back alive."
I can't believe she told that to my niece.
" Oh hello, you must be Emily's Aunt. I'm detective Sasha Grey. Do you mind if I speak to you for a moment outside."
I follow her out of Emily's room.
"I'm sorry if that didn't seem professional to you. I'm just letting her know what she asked about."
"You could have lied to her!"
"I know it's hard especially for you having to look after your niece and your brother is missing along with your sister-in-law, but please just let me do my job-"
"I don't think you're as qualified as you say you are to run this case detective! You shouldn't be telling that to a 16 year old!"
" Maybe you don't know this, but Emily is very smart and could have probably figured the chances of your brother and sister-in-law still being alive is very slim. And I guess time will tell about how qualified I am. Now if you can excuse me, I have a case to solve."
Before I can argue with her, she quickly trots off leaving me in the hallway.
