To the Moon and Back (A Sequel to "Expect the Unexpected")

I. Eight Months

Narration:

Five Months Later

It has been five months since the war between Nevermore and APEX ensued. Nevermore Academy was able to rebuild but decide to end the school year early, the Nightshades stayed and improved the security to another level, recruiting new talents to further ensure that Nevermore will be ready for the future.

Enid Sinclair changed in those five months, she lost her bubbly personality and replaced with a fierce aura of a warrior, not wanting a repetition of the war.

Enid still haven't move on. She kept returning to the still frozen lake, wishing and hoping that Gunvald would be there waiting for her.

Third Person's POV

It has been eight whole months since the war, Nevermore Academy was able to return to what it was but with additional improvements here and there. 

Their defenses was overhauled from inside out after what they suffered and went through. 

Principal Blake helped enforced the perimeter wall of the grounds with her witchcraft which made it nearly impenetrable while the other faculties and students helped in setting watch towers along the wall and was tasked to be supervised and patrolled around the clock. 

Nevermore Academy turned to a fortress and a safe haven for both humans and outcasts. 

The war also helped changed the perspective of the townspeople of Jericho on the students of Nevermore since they experienced first hand how they fought for them even though they did nothing but despised and fear them, all because of the reason that they were different. 

Brought by the helplessness everyone felt especially those who were tasked to protect everyone, the Nightshades proceeded to expand their forces. 

Bianca Barclay and the others recruited aspiring members and held a week long try-outs to make sure the best of the bests will only remain. 

After going through an excruciating selection process of combat, weapons, and endurance training, the recruits who lasted until the 7th day were officially deemed to be a part of the newly improved and strengthened 'Nightshades Society'.

 The 'Nightshades Society' is distributed into 6 groups which consists of a subleader and 5 members and all are under the current leader Bianca Barclay. 

The first group are called the 'Nightmares' led by the subleader Wednesday Addams, the second group are called the 'Hounds' led by Enid Sinclair, the third group are called the 'Hawks' led by Xavier Thorpe, the fourth group are the 'Salamanders' led by Yoko Tanaka, the fifth group are called the 'Orcas' led by Divina, and the last group are called the 'Sharks' led by Kent. 

This was to ensure that their forces will never be outnumbered ever again. 

All of them especially the new recruits undergone weeks and weeks of weapons training, combat training, and strategic planning even after their selection since no one knows when the attack will be. 

Enid was the one who was tasked for the combat training since she was the most skilled out of the seven when it came to hand to hand combat. 

She was known within the recruits as the "Hellhound" since she never held back in sparring and test fights. She would remain in an emotionless expression as she beat up everybody.

But after trainings, there was a single place she always go to without missing a beat and that was the frozen lake which was amazingly still frozen after so much time has already passed, it just shows how strong Gunvald really was.
