The sweet sound of birds filled the warm spring air. Bees floated gently from flower to flower. Sunflowers swayed in the tall grasses. Sunlight poured over the field, casting its light onto a small shivering body.
The childs arms were wrapped tightly around their chest, their knees drawn close. His eyes flickered open. Pools of bright blue caught the sunlight, a small sparkle set into them. Waves of dirty blonde hair hung around their delicate face, a dusting of golden freckles graced their cheeks.
Two thin antennae slowly lifted from their hair, hanging lazily. Four rather small wings hung from her shoulder blades, the light making them shimmer in shades of silver.
