Chapter Six: Alliances

Samantha's Aura wrapped itself around Kinetic's legs, freezing him to the spot. Before she had the chance to kill him with her knife, he twisted violently, landing an uppercut to Samantha's jaw, following it up with a great many punches, each one coming in faster than the last. Samantha was raised up into the air by her brother's attack, until the last one made to punch right through her, speeding towards her with more gravity than the others. The High Priestess teleported behind Kinetic, feeling the satisfying ripping of her knife going through his body. It had been given powers, just like him, through Samantha's power to grant abilities. She was almost like a Chrysalis, almost identical to one, but one that was more sentient, more... alive,

"You are finished, brother," Samantha stated coldly, "for all of your grandeur, you were no match for my abilities, and have fallen before a minute of combat passed,"

She stepped around the front of Kinetic, admiring the way that the long knife protruded from his front like a strange unicorn horn. That's when he moved. Kinetic grabbed Samantha by the arms and pulled her into a bear-hug, the end of the knife slicing through her abdomen. She let out a cry of surprise and agony, teleporting away swiftly, but she had forgotten to focus on leaving Kinetic behind, pulling him to the top of the ICBC with her. Her Aura flew towards them like a bird of yellow, soaring over the buildings,

"What?" Kinetic asked, breaking apart and tossing the knife to the road below, "not a hugger?"

"You insolent pest!" Samantha screamed, her Aura covering her like a cloak, "how dare you strike me?"

"Fuck you, bitch," Kinetic smirked, throwing a spin-kick at her face,

The High Priestess teleported to the other side of the ICBC building, but was instantly met with a punch to the face that sent her reeling, barely keeping her balance as she hung over the side of the building. Before Kinetic could follow up the attack with a second, Samantha leapt forwards, a knife in each hand. Kinetic ducked under the first blade, but the second came down swiftly, requiring him to sidestep in order to avoid death. While the blade was halfway through its downward arc, he leapt to the side, but in the split second that he hung in midair, Samantha showed her quick thinking once more. She teleported so that the blade hovered above Kinetic's head, the downward slash slicing his face in half. She followed it up with the second knife, which moved to decapitate the God of Speed, but Kinetic had landed, pushing off the building with a flourish. He fell downwards quickly, hurtling towards the ground, the wind whipping through his hair,

"He is nothing," Samantha reassured herself, "I shall use my full might against him,"

Before she could move again, Kinetic was back at the top of the building, a crack of the sound barrier breaking announcing his presence,

"I move at mach 2," Kinetic stated, "that's two thousand times the average. I heal as fast as I move, so wounds that would take a day to heal would only take me around 43 seconds,"

His face was healing extremely quickly, so fast that Samantha could see the skin sewing itself together before her eyes. He quickly dashed out of the way of her Aura, which had seeped towards him,

"I think around a hundred times faster than a normal human," Kinetic continued, "which allows me to perceive things at an extreme rate. I am the ultimate being, dear sister,"

His fist cracked as it hit Samantha's solar plexus, absolutely winding her before she could react. Golden Aura clambered over her body, forming a golden robe that looked like normal fabric. She began to meditate, before shooting it in all directions, noting the way Kinetic moved to avoid it. She made a mental note of every single muscle, how it reacted, the way his eyes turned to look at ever individual droplet as it flew from her body. He wasn't bluffing, he was truly thinking and reacting at a hundred times the normal rate. Whether that was his limit, that was another question entirely,
