The Beginning

Alice was never the outgoing type, she did have a bunch of friends but never knew how she got them. Middle school was the best time of their lives, they did so much and were always out at all hours of the night. Once they hit Freshman year of high school they didnt hang out as  much and barely talk anymore. Alice and her best friend Alec stuck together though, all the way until senior year. except once summer hit they got busy and stopped talking all together. At least thats what Alice tells everyone, she never exposed that they were actually dating the first 2 years of high school. That's where our story begins, the start of senior year.

"ALICE OH MY GOD!!" Harper exclaimed tackling Alice in a bear hug.

"Hi Harper, how was your summer?"

"It was so good, i met a boy and pretty much had a summer fling."

"Really! That sounds so funnnnn!"

"It was like the best time of my life but it was only a summer fling we both ended it once summer ended sadly." Harper said with a tiny pout on her face.

"Aw well i think you'll definitely find someone better this year." I giggled as we started walking down the hallway.

"yeah yeah well what class do you have for first hour?"

"Economics, what do you have?"

"Food and nutrition, im not as excited about it as i thought i would be," Harper groaned, "Well i will see you at lunch then, have a good first day bae." Harper giggled skipping down the other hall to her class.

I walked in and sat in the very back row waiting for everyone to show up, i had my headphones in ready to chill until class was over until i felt the table shake and someone sat down next to me. It was odd because no one usually sits next to me, i looked over and immediately groaned. It was Alec and he wasnt paying attention to his surroundings which explains why he chose the seat next to me. i cleared my throat and he looked up and his eyes went wide, his demeanor then fully changed and he just laughed and told me that i was putting on a sad show by sitting next to him. 

"Listen here bud, i was sitting here first and you were the one who sat next to me. If anything you are the sad show, you still cant get it thru your head that im done with you?"

"I will find you after class and we can have a proper conversation instead of verbally assaulting eachother." Alec said turning away and paying attention to the teacher.

After the class ended i packed up all my stuff and was ready to dart out of the classroom so i wouldnt have to see him let alone talk to him. However he grabbed my arm and dragged me into the stairwell, cornering me so i couldnt run away. I looked down at the floor not wanting to see his dark eyes staring back at me. "So what is up with you lately, you had the confidence to talk shit to my face but now wont even look me in my eyes. What have i done to deserve this?" Alec asked sternely.

"Look Alec im not in the mood to talk to you, not after everything you did."

"After everything i did?! Thats a shitty thing to say to me."

"Yes after everything you did! We had a great relationship until you turned it all around by cheating on me!"

"Oh my god your so self absorbed that you aren't taking the blame for it starting, you were the one who was flirting with that server every single time we went there for a date."

"What the fuck are you talking about?!"

"Randy or whatever the hell his name is, you were blatantly flirting with him right in front of my eyes."

"Is this the reason you started a relationship with that girl? Because you thought i was flirting with some server, holy shit you are ridiculous. You went off and cheated without even confronting me or asking about it?!" I said wide eyed pushing him so we had a distance between us, i was balling up my fists ready to punch him in the face with how angry i was.

"Well is was so obvious so why even waste my energy on you trying to deny your way out of it."

"I WAS NEVER CHEATING! I WAS BEING FRIENDLY BECAUSE THE SERVER WAS MY COUSIN!!"

"Well why didnt you ever mention him then or introduce me to him??"

"I did you just were on your phone mindlessly answering me!"

"Yeah sure i totally believe you." Alec said rolling his eyes.

"No, I'm done here i'm leaving before i push your ass down the stairs." I said walking away, I was so angry and mad I just decided to skip the rest of the school day.
