"Cause" and effect

"Hundreds of years ago, in the middle ages, when Christianity was spreading around the world, a village of people was killed due to the belief of them containing powers of witchcraft. The king of England by that time orders his servants to burn the village down. Some of the villagers die, some of them flee the village... To never be seen again... Then 2 years after that a cult mysteriously appeared out off nowhere said to be taking people near the burned down village... Sacrificing them to they're make-believe God"

*Fritz ends telling the story*

*Cedric laughs*
Cedric: that story is the most horrible story I've ever heard!

Fritz: oh shut up Cedric not like you didn't peed your pants when Alisha wore a ghost face mask last Halloween

Alisha: *laughs*

Cedric: shut up fritz

Lucas: Hey but I actually found this amazing looking beach and you know it's burning hot due to summer right not so why not we give it a try? Like why not?? *Lucas said calmly with a persuading tone*

Cedric: well that's a good idea but I don't think mom will let me and Alisha go there without her

Alisha: yeah true

Lucas: awh but it's gonna be fun though? And you should give a try to convince your mom? I mean you're literally 19 and Alisha is 18!

Fritz: yeah bro you guys are adults now *fritz said teasingly*

Cedric and Alisha: well we can give it a try?...

Carl: Anyway Cedric I was the one that checked your test earlier and boy that was something... *Carl said in a disappointed tone*

Cedric: I failed, didn't I? *Cedric sighs*

*The bell rang and all of them said goodbye to each other and went to their own classes*

*5 hours later, the school ended and the friends met up by the school gate to go on a walk to their neighborhood since they all live by the same neighborhood*

*After 30 minutes of walking all of them arrived at their houses*

*1 hour later it's dinner time at Cedric and Alisha's house*

*Alisha and Cedric's mom named Maria shouts for both of her kids to go to the kitchen since the dinner is ready*

*Both Alisha and Cedric went downstairs and ate with their mother*

Maria: so how's school? Cedric? Alisha?

Alisha: good I guess *Alisha said while eating*

Cedric: same *Cedric said with no emotions in his face*

Maria: oh that's great *maria said with a smile*

Cedric: uh mom may I ask you something? *Cedric said with a nervous face*

Maria: oh what is it? *Maria said with a confused tone*

Cedric: Can Alisha and I go with Lucas's beach house this Sunday? I mean it's not so far *Cedric remained the nervous face on his face*

Alisha: *looked at both of them while eating*

Maria: I think you know my answer, don't you?

Cedric: *Cedric sighs in frustration and continues eating*

Maria: but this time I will let you and your sister, Alisha *Maria said with a smile*

Cedric: wait, really?! *Cedric said with a smile*

Maria: *smiles as a response*

*Cedric and Alisha smiles to each other*

*Tomorrow morning, both Alisha and Cedric meets up with their friends to bring the good news that their mom let them*
