While Bill Cypher was desperately trying to regenerate his eye, Grenda, Candy and Ford were fighting clones. Ford blasted a clone's head off.

'Is that all you've got? I thought this was going to be a challenge,' Ford taunted Bill.

Grenda beat a clone to the ground and ripped it's arm off. She slapped a second clone with the arm and punched it to the ground. It lay there, dazed. She picked it up and threw it at a bunch of clones. They fell like skittles. A clone tried to reach for her. She saw the movement from the corner of her eye and grabbed its arm. He flew over her shoulder and landed with an earth shattering thunk.

'Take that stupid clone!' she yelled.

Ford was amazed by what he had just witnessed.

'Grenda you're incredible at this,' he said, losing his concentration for a few seconds.

Stan shot the clone who was about to rip Ford's head open.

'Sixer, watch out next time. It almost had you,' Stan said.

'Thanks, I owe you. I'll be more careful.'

'Glad I could help, Sixer,' his brother replied.

'Grenda amazes me, Stan.'

'They're all amazing in their own right, Sixer.'

'By the way, I see you have your baseball bat with you too. Isn't the laser gun enough of a deterrent?' Ford asked.

'It is just so satisfying to beat up these clones with it and I'm more comfortable with it,' Stan replied.

'As long as it's working for you. You're getting clone material all over you, though.' Ford grimaced.

Stan put his money where his mouth is and beat up a clone who had ventured too close for comfort. He threw the comatose body into the air where Mabel fried it with her flamethrower.

'I'm unstoppable! I'm the god of destruction!' Mabel yelled.

Five clones approached her and were incinerated.

'Mabel are you not having way too much fun burning your brothers' clones?' Candy asked.

'Maybe, but I know they aren't real. Besides which, they are trying to kill us,' she answered. Candy nodded, looking at her curiously.

'Candy, look out! There's one behind you!' Mabel screamed.

Candy turned around and shot it. A large boulder lay close by, she picked it up and smashed it into the clone for good measure. Grenda exchanged her sofa for a fallen log and ramrodded four of the clones. Mabel followed, incinerating them as they fell.

'Ford, ask Fiddleford whether he's done with the gun,' Stan piped up.

Ford gave him a thumbs up and retrieved his walkie talkie.

'Fiddleford, what's your status on the weapon, over.'

'Almost there. Jaco and Soos have the crystal. They are back on board. I had to rescue them from a horde of zombies. We'll be back at your location within thirty minutes. So, stay put. By the way is Dipper back with Pacifica?' McGucket asked.

'No, he isn't. I'll call him now. Speak to you later, over,' Ford said and called me.

'Dipper, come in. Have you found Pacifica yet?'

'Yes, I have. She is in a prison cell and someone from my past has the key, and he is toying with me. I must give Bill this, he has transformed the cave into a government like facility. On the outside it looks like a normal mountain but on the inside, it is a full out laboratory. I must go now, or I'll lose him, over,' I said hurrying after Sherlock.

'Any news?' Stan asked.

Ford relayed everything he had found out.

'I hope Dipper finds that son of a bitch and kicks his ass,' Stan said.

Bill finally finished regenerating his eye, just as the clone attack was losing its steam.

'Finally, I can see again,' Bill said, but Mabel rushed towards him.

'Take that!' she yelled, firing the flamethrower.

'Oh, come on, I just regenerated my eye. You will die slowly and painfully!'

'Blah, blah, blah,' Mabel taunted.

                                                 ***

I remained hot on Wax Sherlock's tail. The latter led me to an expansive room filled with supercomputers and a half-finished machine. There was a label on the gadget.

I wondered what on earth it could be but could not read the note. Wax Sherlock approached me.

'Looking for the keys to free your friend? You won't find it there.'

'Stop playing games with me, Sherlock. I know you won't give me the keys. I'll fight you for it,' I said.

'Yes, a battle to the death. It seems like a fair deal, right?'

'So be it, Sherlock. I'll make your death quick,' I said and aimed at Sherlock's head. He stepped forward so fast that the movement was but a blur. He grabbed me by the arm.

'No, you don't,' Sherlock said and twisted the gun out of my hand.

He made a fist and swung it at me. I was faster and caught his clenched hand.

'I see you've grown a lot stronger. You're not the weak boy you used to be,' Sherlock sneered.

'Things changed. I've gone through literal hell, and I've been working out.'

'Things have changed for me too; I no longer melt in direct sunlight so don't get any ideas.'

'Good to know,' I said.

A knife appeared in Sherlock's other hand. I was losing my grip on the situation. I ducked and Sherlock's thrust passed above my head.

'Playing dirty by distracting me? Shame on you, Sherlock.'

'Quick reflexes and a good eye.'

I head butted him, grabbed the knife from his loosened grip and threw it away. I ran for the laser gun that was lying under a table on the opposite side of the cavern.

'Ow!' Sherlock screamed in pain.

Sherlock recovered quickly and lunged for me, tackling me to the hard stone floor. He stood up and kicked me in the ribs before picking up the gun and disappearing into another passageway.

'You'll regret this, Sherlock!' I pushed myself to my knees, battling against the sharp pain. I got up and ran after him.
