Bill had finally caught on that the group who had been fighting the clones were merely meant as a distraction. Mabel saw that his eye had regenerated and swung the flamethrower around. She pulled the trigger, but nothing happened. The weapon had run out of fuel.

'Shit,' Mabel swore.

'Enough!' Bill roared, creating a shockwave that threw everyone to the ground.

'Like it? The crystal's given me all sorts of new powers. Your little distraction ploy has failed. What fools you guys are. I will kill you all eventually. You must have the crystal by now, but you are doomed to failure. Time, I think turn some idiots into corpses.'

'We'll see about that Bill Cipher,' Ford said.

Bill stared at them with unadulterated hatred and sent a second shockwave out. He furiously smashed through the mountain. It took a few minutes for everyone to regain their footing. They all had massive headaches.

'Oh, my head. Is this what a migraine feels like?' Grenda asked.

'Migraines are much worse. Trust me, I've had one, it's not a pleasant experience. I literally felt like I was about to die. I'm glad that Bill didn't give us one,' Ford replied.

The three adventurers on board the Stan 'O War II, finally arrived at the island. The vessel looked the worse for wear.

'Well, I can definitely say that this ship has seen better days,' McGucket said worriedly.

'I'll never step foot on a boat ever again,' Jaco said, looking green around the gills.

'Damn right,' McGucket agreed.

'Dudes, this is our only ticket back to the mainland,' Soos said.

'Let me rephrase. After we get back to North America, I will never step foot on a boat as long as I live. Now, I'm going to throw up,' Jaco said.

'Right behind you,' McGucket replied.

Several minutes pass in which t he men try to regain their composure.

'Let's hand over the gun. I hope they realize that I literally jumped into a freezing ocean and fought a goddamn kraken to get the bloody gun back,' Jaco said. 'Who's going to tell Stan and Ford why their boat looks like a wreck?'

'Oh, hell no,' McGucket said hastily.

'No way, dude.'

'Let's blame it on the weather. That should be fine, right?' Jaco asked.

'I hope so. Have you ever seen Ford angry?' McGucket asked.

'No have you, McGucket?' Soos asked in turn.

'Nope and I don't want to find out. Jaco, do you still have the gun?' McGucket asked. The old man was cleaning his spectacles.

'Yes, I still have it,' Jaco answered.

'No time like the present, gentlemen,' McGucket said.

They lowered the dinghy, climbed over the side and rowed towards the island. Their dinghy joined the others which had been pulled up over the high tide line. They ran to meet up with the rest of the group. They were extremely happy to see one another alive and well.

'The one walkie talkie took a swim in the ocean. We couldn't find the other. Let's just say that things turned messy on board and leave it at that,' McGucket explained.

Jaco handed the gun, which had caused so much trouble, to Ford.

'I'm happy to see that it's still intact. Without it we can't beat Bill Cipher,' Ford replied.
