DISCLAIMER : This story is a work of fiction only."Why won't you believe me?!" I pleaded between my desperate cries as he continued to ignore my words and stare at the ground blankly. My hand reached out to grab him by the arm in an attempt to explain myself, but was immediately rejected as he quickly took a step back away from me, leaving me feeling even more in despair.
I could feel my heart pound against my chest as my palms started getting cold sweats. My head looked down, staring at anything but the judging gazes of those around me.
An ear piercing silence began as no one dared to speak. Breaking the silence,as we heard the sound of sirens, footsteps can be heard in the distance, getting louder and louder in each second.
Police officers slowly emerged towards us one after another, before quickly scanning the area as they started interrogating every person that was present in that area, my heart began to feel heavy, my breath becoming ragged as an officer approached me.
The police officer holds a warrant and reads it loud, "Ma'am,you are under arrest. Please put your hands behind your back. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say, can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have a right to have an attorney. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be appointed for you." I stood there frozen in fear, my heart drops to my stomach, as I looked in horror as I was being handcuffed.
He hands the paper to another officer who begins to search through my belongings, I stood there, handcuffed, as the police officer asked me questions and searched the entire area for any evidence.
"Please..." was all that I could muster while I stared at him with pleading eyes. The police officer grabbed me by the shoulder as he started guiding me towards the cruiser.
And in that very moment everything went downhill, as my life began to collapse, shattering everything that I've built for like a glass.
