Today I looked around
But it all felt out of place
People are fighting to the ground
About one another's religion, sex choices, and raceI stand for the people
That have waited to long
For their voices to be heard
And their songs to be sungI've seen 16 years of hatred
And grew up in the "greatest country"
But look around and take it in
And see what we've become we are all enemy's not friendsThe world will never be perfect
No one can be that way too
We all just live our lives out
And do what humans doTheir will always be fighting
Racial and for grudge
But it doesn't have to happen
Because we couldn't accept and loveI've seen my friends waiting
For a chance to find true love
But a law hadn't passed
And they couldn't budgeThe cops all seemed friendly
And no one ever complained
But now it's all towards races
And discrimination takes all the blameThe flag of every state
Was flown for a specific reason
But some don't like change
So an argument has risenThe senate passed the law
That allowed same sex marriage
I don't see the problem
Everyone deserves their own bondageIf one cops out of a force Discriminates on your race
Why create a war
Instead of just saving face?My state flag is a symbol
It stands for many things
But why should it be taken down
And the symbol rearrangedI'm tired of all the fighting
Can we not just give it a rest
What do the future generations have to live for
If our generation doesn't do its bestThe world will have problems
But stop hiding behind your religion, race, or sex
Everyone can have a voice
No voice should have to restI'm friends with all sorts of people
Bi, gay, or straight
It doesn't make a difference
It's their lives, they should have to fakeI don't discriminate
It matters what's within
Why judge because another
Because the tonality of their skinWhy can't the world see
What's going on
Gay, Straight, Black, White
We are supposed to be as oneSo take this in to context
And think before you judge
Because everyone deserves a chance
And no one should hold a grudge.
