A short and sweet chapter for you all today! Enjoy!
"Ah... I know who you are now... Y/N."
That was the first thing I heard in my dreams after the troll incident that night but ever since things had been rather quiet, dream-wise that was. That voice had disturbed me greatly at first, but I found it was hard to keep my focus on those mysterious men as November began to blow in with a cold gust and the approach of the first big Quidditch match, Gryffindor versus Slytherin!
Not only was the Quidditch match coming up but things had begun to change between Hermione and the boys as well, they had all become rather good friends! I supposed surviving and defeating a full grown troll together could have something to do with that...
Despite that fact, Harry had found that he trusted both Ron and Hermione enough to let them in on the knowledge of Hagrid's package, I soon followed suit by explaining the mysterious dreams I had been having lately. I was still a little hesitant to tell any of them about the fact that Professor Snape now knew of these little dreams as well, especially with how little Harry trusted this Professor in particular...
Unfortunately for me, it wasn't long before the little group noticed how often Professor Snape seemed to come and check up on us, seemingly watching over every move the group made even though it was only me who the Professor really seemed to focus on.
Today was the last straw for Harry though, the group having gotten five points taken from them this morning after one, still seemingly limping, Professor Snape snatched Harry's book on Quidditch that Hermione had given him not too long ago, muttering something about library books not being allowed outside the library.
"Okay, that's it." Harry would say, standing up from the common room couch the four of them sat on or around while doing their homework, "I'm going to get my book back from him." He would say confidently, the rest of the group giving him incredulous looks.
"Hey, better you than me." I would reply as both Hermione and Ron watched Harry leave in concern.
"He's definitely not getting that book back, is he?" Ron would state as the rest of the group agreed solemnly, I just hoped it wouldn't cost Gryffindor anymore house points...
Not too long after he left, Harry would return in a fluster, no books in hand.
"It was from the dog! Snape's limp! He tried to steal the package, I know it!"
"Whoa! Whoa! Slow down Harry! What happened?" I would ask in apprehension.
From here Harry burst out everything he had seen in the faculty room when he had gone to ask for his book back, Filch patching up Snape's leg, their talk about the three headed dog attacking him and much more.
"Harry! You can't think that Professor Snape would do such a thing! Sure he isn't the nicest person in the world but he would never try to steal something Dumbledore was trying to keep safe!" Hermione would butt in, Ron shaking his head at her.
"Wait..." Something dawned on me just then, how did the mysterious man from my dreams know who I was..? I hadn't let him get any information out of me but, I had ended up telling a certain Professor about my dreams... "I-I think I made a mistake..." I would say in slight horror, the others looking at me with concern. "I told Professor Snape about my dreams and the very next night I heard one of the men from my dreams say they knew who I was now..."
"YOU DID WHAT!?" Harry would cry in outrage!
"Out of all the Professors you could have told you had to have chosen Snape?!" Ron would say in disbelief.
My explanation even left Hermione speechless, I could see the flickers of doubt lighting the brunette's eyes...
Needless to say, it was a very restless night for all of us that day as we thought over this new information.
