Wishing Stars

Sick Oikawa

Like every other day. Iwaizumi would come over to Oikawa's house to study. Sometimes they just look up at the stars and make wishes. It's been like this ever since they were children. Oikawa would make weird wishes. Like; 'let me see a real alien' to 'please let me find my twin flame.' iwaizumi would sit there and wonder where he learned some of these words or want to have any of that.

One day Oikawa was sick in bed. Missing his practice for the middle school volleyball boys team. Iwaizumi felt bad. So, he made sure to go over and see him. Even bring his missed work from class. He would practice with him outside to make sure he'd catch up with the others. He knew he didn't like being left behind.

Once Oikawa's mother let him in. Running towards his best friend. Seeing him sleeping. With a cool washcloth on his head. Covered up. His curtains shut. Pillows pile high. So he could get his nose not to be stuffy. Or drain so much. He was running a fever. A small cough left his mouth.

Iwaizumi felt so bad about this. Made him pout. "Oikawa?" He asked softly. Making the chocolate haired little boy look over at his best friend. "Yeah?" He answers with a raspy voice. Iwaizumi climbs into bed with him. "It's about time for the stars to come out." Oikawa pouts looking at him. "I can't go outside. I'm sick. Don't tease me Iwa Chan. It's not nice." He whimpers over his sore throat as he talks.

Iwaizumi laughs, "you're an idiot." He helps him up. Moving the pillows to the end of his bed. The bottom. Then lies him down. Covering them both up. After opening the curtains in front of Oikawa bed. Iwaizumi explained all the work he had to make up. Which he brought over. And what the practice in the gym today for volleyball. Oikawa nods as he listens. yawning. As the stars finally came out. Iwaizumi makes a wish for Oikawa to get better soon. Cuddling his sick best friend.

Oikawa nods in agreement. Oikawa made a wish too. "I wish to have my best friend forever."

Oikawa did get that wish. Even in high school they were friends. Still did things as they did as kids. But more adults like…. Kind of… "SHITTYKAWA!!! I TOLD YOU NOT TO DO THAT!!!" Oikawa dumbfounded, "Iwa Chan… you are not my mother." He sticks out his tongue laughing. As he carries the volleyball.

Matsukawa looks at the others, "I'm still wondering…. How they are best friends. And stayed that way." Watching the two run around the whole gym. They were such idiots. But didn't stop them from caring for each other. Everytime Oikawa was sick. They would stare out his window and talk about almost anything. Even still wishes upon the stars.

Iwaizumi cuddles into Oikawa. Sick or not. Looking up at him. Oikawa slowly made his tired eyes meet Iwa Chan's. "Iwa Chan?" He spoke softly. "Yes, Babykawa?" Oikawa blushes faintly under his feverish burning red cheeks. "I love you. Not just as a best friend. At this point…. I don't care…. If it ruins our friendship. You are my twin flame. And you are all I want." With that he fell asleep.

"I've been making that wish. You'd finally come out and ask me." He gently kisses his best friend's forehead. Following asleep himself. Never letting go of his best friend.
