Waking up before dawn, I felt a rush of urgency in my chest. After praying Tahajjud and reading from the Quran, I felt at peace with my faith. As Fajr neared, I felt close to God, finding comfort in His presence.

Once my prayers were done, I joined my family in the living room. The air was thick with worry about the court case that could take our home. Despite the anxiety, I clung to my faith for strength, hoping for resolution as the new day began.

As the morning light filled the room, the tension in the house was palpable. We ate breakfast in silence, each of us preoccupied with the case ahead. Afterward, we rushed to get ready, and Muntazir and I found ourselves alone in the car. The silence between us felt heavy, and my thoughts consumed with uncertainty.

"Why are you so worried, Tahera? We'll win this case," Muntazir said, his voice full of determination.

I turned to him, sadness in my eyes. "I’m not worried about the case, Muntazir. I just don’t understand why Rabia Phuppo is doing this to us. She always treated me like her own daughter. What changed for her to take such a big step?"

My voice trembled as I spoke, hurt and confusion pouring out.

Muntazir listened quietly, his expression understanding. "You know, Tahera, this is a test of your patience. The reward for this test is what you ask for in your prayers."

His words gave me a sense of calm, reminding me that I wasn’t alone in this.  As we drove toward the courthouse, my heart felt lighter. No matter what happened, we would face it together.

Times skips in courtroom:

The tension in the courtroom was unbearable. I could feel my heart pounding in my chest as the judge listened to both sides, his face unreadable. Every word that was spoken felt like it carried the weight of everything we had fought for.

Finally, the judge spoke, his voice calm but authoritative. "After reviewing all the evidence, it is clear that the plaintiff, Tahera, has made a strong case."

A flood of relief washed over me. I felt as though I could finally breathe again.

As the applause filled the room, I stood there for a moment, processing the victory. I had fought for so long, and now it was finally over. I had won.
