Not-So-Legendary Duel

Amari had enough.

The constant pestering by his adoptive sister, Makoto, finally got to his head. He became sick of all of her teasing and pranks, especially after that one time she put a whoopee cushion underneath his mattress. She was like a flea hidden in a dog's fur: incredibly hard to get rid of. Not only that, they constantly bicker. While was usually unserious, it never fails to annoy everyone else who happens to be nearby.

So, he decided to take matters into his own hands.

He snuck into Gavin and Parker's cabin while they were away in a round, stole two of Gavin's guns, and then went off in search of Makoto.

He found her near Seoung's cabin, talking to... you guessed it! The grandma-less goth girl herself! Makoto heard footsteps behind her and turned around to see who it was, only to see her adoptive brother holding two guns.

"Woah! Hey twin! What's up with the guns?" she asked.

"I'm tired of you annoying me," he answered. "So I've decided: we're going to have a duel."

"Whaaaat? No way."

"Yeah, but we're going to do it in one of those Mist rounds or whatever. I'm not stupid enough to try it here."

"Says the guy who avoids generators like the plague."

"You-! At least I don't die the moment a killer sees me," he retorted.

"Hey! Mean!"

While the two were bickering, Seoung gulped. "I have a bad feeling about this..."

Not too long after, Amari and Makoto got thrown into a round along with Seoung, Emery, Ryder, Lyndon, Gabrielle, and Becca. This round would take place on Purgeton, which the siblings agreed (for once) that it would work decently for their duel.

Amari and Makoto decided that their duel would be in front of the motel. They both walked over to the decrepit parking lot of the motel and stood 10 paces away from each other.

They drew their pistols.

"If I win, you have to leave me alone," he announced.

"And if I win, I get to annoy you as much as I want!" she added

"As if you don't already do that," he scoffed. "Alright, on the count of three."

"One."

"Two."

"Three-" BANG!

AMARI HAS BEEN DOWNED!
MAKOTO HAS BEEN DOWNED!

"Looks like neither of us won, twin!" Makoto laughed, bleeding out of the floor. She had been struck in the arm.

"Best out of two then," Amari groaned. He was shot in the leg, somehow. He swore she was aiming at his face.

Meanwhile, Jules was chasing Becca at the gas station when the pair got downed.

"What the..." Jules stopped mid chase. So did Becca. "How did that happen? I wasn't even anywhere near them!"

"I dunno," Becca answered. "Do you want to check it out?" she asked.

"No thanks," Jules said, right before immediately downing Becca and walking off.

Seoung, Ryder, and Emery immediately rushed over to the siblings, hearing the gunshots and receiving the notifications of them being downed.

"Are you two alright?" Emery asked worriedly.

"I knew this was a bad idea," Seoung sighed, opening her first aid kit and pulling out a roll of bandages and a cloth to wipe the blood off with.

"Wait, those guns you dropped on the floor... Did you steal these from Gavin?" Ryder questioned, picking up the pistol and making sure the non-lethal setting was turned on. "He did mention he was missing two, and asked me to find them."

"Are you gonna turn us in to the police?" Amari joked while getting patched up by Emery. Ryder just rolled his eyes.

"I'm confiscating them."

"But we're useless without them!" Makoto exclaimed. "Those guns are basically our perks now! We can't do much without them!"

"Alright fine, have these guns back," Ryder sighed as he put both pistols in each of his children's hand. "But no more shooting each other, and once you get back I expect the both of you to return them and apologize to Gavin. Stealing is wrong."

"Bruh, I wasn't the one who stole them, it was Amari!"

"MAKOTO!" Amari shot Makoto, who dropped her pistol and somehow shot a bullet at Amari, ending up killing them both.

MAKOTO HAS BEEN KILLED
AMARI HAS BEEN KILLED

"...They're grounded," Ryder facepalmed, walking off in sheer disappointment, leaving Seoung and Emery to process what just happened.

"I don't think they should be trusted with weapons anymore," Emery began after a long pause of silence.

"I agree," Seoung responded.

And then Amari and Makoto lost their Monster Energy privileges and were banned from stunning until they could get along.
